Right now I have Lenovo Flex 6 14 with Ryzen 2500 processor that I purchased in 2019. It performs well enough, but pretty much since I have had it I have had driver compatibility issues that manifests itself in different ways (like having to force restart my computer 30% of the time when it stalls during start up). Does anyone have a sense of how reliable this machine would be and how much of a step up it would be from my current laptop.
key term is "premium", likely referring to something more in line with XPS, Spectre, Yoga 9i, etc.
I actually bought a similarly spec'd Acer Spin 5 when Costco online had it (no longer), but coming from an XPS 13, I found its build quality lacking so I ended up returning it and sticking with the Hp Spectre x360 13 from Best Buy.
I purchased this for my son in Oct 2020 for $919.00 to replace a dead Lenovo as is school laptop. I thought at the time it was a good deal and it seems to be doing well. The only complaint I got from him was at the beginning about the screen. He went from a 4k wide format to this and it took him a few days to adjust to it. It seems real light and runs fast when I have used it.
Do you think 11th gen i7 with these specs be at this price range anytime soon? Specially 16:10 screen?
Maybe not i7, but Costco's got an 11th Gen i5 in a pretty similar package[costco.com]for less. The new i5 performs[userbenchmark.com]better than the last gen i7, and the 11th gen Xe graphics are pretty big step up from the integrated graphics on the 10th gen chip. The Acer does have a much better screen, though. So which is better depends on your priorities.

$600 vs $840
4700U vs 1065
2 year costco warranty vs basic asus 1 year
a smidge more screen res can't be worth $240, a slower older processor and a worse warranty, can it?

This is 450 nits and 2k. If you're going to compare cheap deals on shitty laptops with decent deals on better ones, your premise is flawed.
I'd get this if I wasn't waiting for a deal on a premium 2-in-1.
Edit: 2k not 1440 as someone corrected me.
