I made a quick video on how to cancel a freedompop plan a few years back when I started getting random charges. It stopped getting attention a few years back, but the comments said it all. I think if you can, switching over to a new carrier would be best. I started on metroPCS (paid), then freedompop(free) , then to ringplus(free), ting(paid and briefly. Now I am on Tello. It's reasonably cheap and to me worth it. Just a suggestion, but I used FP for a little over 2 years, and it is helpful, but if you have about $7 to $10 you can get a good voice/data plan

Now I can't even login to my account. What if they keep charging me after this.

I haven't used their service in years! I think I had a sim and a mifi device (maybe another device too).

I tried logging in, wasn't able to, I now get "Error, system doesn't have user with such email"

I tried their free service a couple of years ago. The call quality was terrible so I let the number expire.

Thanks for the reminder. I got this email then forgot about it. Just cancelled all my accounts now, apparently my wimax hot spot account was still active. Wimax was legit at the end, no one was on it, bandwidth galore.

To be clear, it looks like you literally are porting from this older site into the new freemium site. Not really an easy upgrade path at all. All for 25MB? Pass...guess they get to keep the $10 top up deposit I made years ago.

If you contact your credit card in advance You can tell them you do not authorize freedom pop to charge you anything. And if they do charge you can flag it as fraud and have it removed.

I thought Freedom Pop had gone under quite a while ago. They sold the three lines I had on them to Ting, or at least we got transferred to Ting without any choice in the matter. Used Ting while they offered the decent intro rate, then moved on.

Don't miss using Freedom Pop at all though. It was great, unless you actually needed something.

I did have to dispute a bunch of $1 charges they hit me with on my free plans after getting no response from them about why they were happening.

if you search reddit you'll find others with the problem - that's actually where I got the advice to open the FCC complaint. If you have the "old" SIM you can still get the information online without chat but if you have a new SIM, like I did, you can only get the port information via the chat. Port fast if you can and hope you don't have a number over there that you care about.
