Action Required for Changes to Your Account
We hope you are enjoying your FreedomPop service and want to inform you of some upcoming changes to our free plan.
In order for us to continue passing on the best value to all of our subscribers, we need to make changes that will have an impact on those enjoying our current free tier.
Don't worry, FreedomPop will keep a free tier! But recent rate changes on our data network provider, together with our superior buying power on our largest underlying carrier, make a free offering only viable on our Premium network going forward.
For those who wish to continue receiving 100% free talk, text, and data, you must upgrade to a Premium SIM by May 1, 2021. With FreedomPop Premium, you get true cellular voice, text, and data - no app required! This means you can experience FreedomPop's amazing value while using your phone as it was meant to be used. Upgrade today at FreedomPop.com.
If you do not migrate by May 1, 2021, your account will be automatically enrolled into the Essential Plan which offers 350MB and 200 minutes / 200 texts each month for only $3.99/mo.
We hope this notice gives you ample time to make the decision that's right for you. Please take action by either upgrading your account to a Premium SIM, changing your current subscription to any other plan, or cancelling altogether by May 1, 2021.
If you have any questions, please view our helpful guide on completing your premium voice upgrade.

Not sure if they can legally just automatically enroll and start charging. I am sure a lot of folks that have the accounts don't even use the sims.
Don't miss using Freedom Pop at all though. It was great, unless you actually needed something.
I did have to dispute a bunch of $1 charges they hit me with on my free plans after getting no response from them about why they were happening.
The multiple $1 charges were so scummy though.

To be clear, it looks like you literally are porting from this older site into the new freemium site. Not really an easy upgrade path at all. All for 25MB? Pass...guess they get to keep the $10 top up deposit I made years ago.
They started placing fake charged on my CC, so I cancelled. Have they gotten any better lately?

How sure after you that what you're saying is a widespread practice and not just a one off situation?
So finally decided just to go with Tello, cheap enough and I don't deal with bs. Then freedompop giving me bs about porting.Tello tried like 15 different times, because everytime I asked for port out info it was wrong, I first gave tello the port out page information, they said it was wrong and freedompop refused to port out. Then I went online asked what's my info, they gave me totally different information, PIN was not even the same. Tello said it was wrong and freedompop refused to port out. So I talked to someone again, then it was wrong. So I finally just give up. I closed my freedompop account. This company has been bullshitting customers, and there are people willing to say "user mistake!" F you user mistake, normal people will not want to deal this level of scam.
