I have settled on both. There's strengths and weaknesses to each and can't imagine dropping either. The cashback at Costco exec more than covers my
Membership. Sams we don't shop at as much but there are some items that are simply only there that we buy regularly like huge boxes of strawberry uncrustables and Smithfield bacon lol.

Quoted... "When you buy shrimp, whether fresh or frozen, the size designation isn't standard and its best to use count per pound. When you see 41/50 on the packaging of frozen shrimp, that means there are 41 to 50 shrimps per pound. U15 means there are less than 15 shrimps per pound. The fewer shrimps per pound, the larger they are. Here's a quick overview:"

Look at attached excel sheet. Also full article here [jessicagavin.com].

Wife bought it last week. It's much thinner compared to what Costco always carries, and does not absorb much water at all. I do not recommend it.

Were you talking about these paper towels? These are not the Kirkland paper towels. These are Naturezway branded bamboo paper towels.
I am going to check these out in the warehouse. Did not even see them last time I was looking at their selection. I also noticed they said they stated they lowered the count per roll due to Covid but had the same value per sheet (on the Kirkland brand).
The sale price seems great for these bamboo paper towels if they are similar in quality to the Kirkland brand.

I don't see that U-15 shrimp on sale often, probably the first time in years. Maybe I just missed it before.

These are facts you can rely on. Costco is king in the non food item category and hard liquor. Sams dominates food selection, herbs and spices and beer selection in 12 packs and some liquor deals. Agreed 100 💯

my Costco barely got self checkout about a month ago. Sam's has scan and go [samsclub.com], and curbside pickup [samsclub.com] - both incredibly convenient ways to shop. I dread going to Costco now compared to Sam's. My Costco doesn't have either one. But I still go to both... just more often to Sam's for convenience.
Agree with you I got both membership but I go more often to Sam's club just because the Scan and Go!

That means just different size. Same taste and texture?

I got it on sale about 4 or 5 months ago. Might restock, it's pretty decent.

The butter is a good deal too. I've never seen it discounted before.

if these are the ones that come wrapped all together in a cardboard box they are the worst paper towels ever

remind me of the towels found in bathroom towel dispenser in an office building, thin, tear easily and not cleanly, just horrendous

It can be. The texture depends a bit on size. You should pick based on what you want to do with it. For a salad, smaller is usually better. For pasta, I'd go with medium. If shrimp is the main ingredient, larger works best.

Larger shrimp is usually a lot more expensive though, so if you don't care, just go smaller.
