This'd incorrect, YMMV. I looked as I was interested if included the audible narration, but the only option that shows is before purchasing is to add the audible narration for 7.49.

It is free most likely if you don't have an audible subscription. It's one of the ways they use to gain customers.

I don't have audible and didn't see an option to add it for free when I bought it.

It is free with audible membership trial. Otherwise, you pay $7.49 for the audible narration, which is the discounted rate.

If you're an Audible member, you can listen to it in the Audible catalog as part of your membership.
