For nvidia owners, the key is buying a monitor on their official list. It includes Gsync panels and Certified Gsync compatible monitors. If it's on the list, it is guaranteed to be flicker free w/ gsync.

This monitor is on the list. But the dell curved 32" was not. I have this monitor with a RTX 3080 and I have had zero issues.

I have been doing a ton of Research into 1440p 144hz (min) 27in gaming monitors (and 32) the best two I have determined are this and the LG GL850-B.
This Dell has the better brightness(400 over 350), DisplayHDR 400 (over HDR 10), sRGB 144% over 135%, 165 over 144hz on DP.

That's not accurate. It has to be a 10XX series; 20XX series or 30XX series video card. I have an older video card and I can tell you it does not work that way. (Even with updated drivers).
Well people really serious about gaming typically have newer video cards... I am using the 1080TI.

Is this monitor worth it if I do not plan to take advantage of the 165hz refresh rate? I'm not a gamer and only want a 27'' 1440p monitor for media consumption and general office work. Occasional video/photo editing as well.
no, the premium you are paying for is an IPS panel with 165hz. please save your money there's lots of good options under $300, check rtings. I am not hating on this monitor. I bought this monitor for this price a few months ago.

I am debating about this monitor. I got the amex $100 off $500, but not sure it's the best deal.

I think the Gigabyte M27Q is cheaper and just as good for ~$330.
Trying to make the same decision. The Dell would be cheaper with the promo: $309 net vs.$329. However, you would have to look to buy about $100 worth of extra stuff. And according to RTINGS, the M27Q is actually better overall: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/to...6485/19668

BUT, Dell has way better service and a 3 year warranty...Reading a lot of complaints about Gigabyte customer service on Amazon.

dell monitors are pricey than most of the competition, but their qc is pretty much unmatched. Bought 2 of the 75hz version couple months ago and both were perfect out of the box. No light bleed and no noticeable ips glow. Can't say that for the lg i had before i returned it.

now the question is, do i jump on this or wait and try to see if it'll go back down to $360-380

Great monitor, great price. I bought this monitor refurbished for $450 from Best Buy at the beginning of the school year. Love this thing. Great colors and very fast.

Only problem is that lately Nvidia has been releasing bad drivers for my GTX 1070 that causes gsync to flicker black when stressing the GPU. I rolled back my drivers to a few months ago so I'm not sure if it's been fixed yet. This is not a problem with the monitor, this is a problem with Nvidia.

100% recommend at this price you can't beat it.
I was coming here to say this exact thing. I am running three 2560 x 1440 monitors, 2 Dell u2719dc and this one and this one has the flickering problem. It is most definitely related to the G-Sync ability itself. I used the G-Sync Pendulum demo and when you turn off G-Sync everything works fine, the monitor uses a VRR when it is off. Whatever is going on is how the Nvidia cards communicated with the monitors making Gaming on my gaming monitor absolutely pointless. I am not the only one with this issue, there are others, you just have to search the internet. If you notice this problem when you get the monitor I would suggest returning it because Dell will not do anything under warranty after the return window to fix the issue. I tried that the other day. They blame it on software.

I ordered a Gigabyte G27Q when it went on sale last month for $279, still waiting for it from Amazon. I'm actually going to be shifting the current LG 27UK500-B to my laptop/docking station I use for Zoom and some productivity; I think the additional screen real estate will be beneficial.

I know this is 165 v 144hz. I'm a casual gamer (I played Doom Eternal and Star Wars Squadrons is next but I'm not doing much multiplayer or anything like that) and 70% of my use is going to be productivity. Running a Ryzen 2700X and Radeon RX580. Would there be any benefit to 165hz or is it mostly for esports titles?

How come it's only with the newer drivers then?

I own this monitor 165hz enabled dont know what your talking bout
this overclocks to 165 with a button on the bottom. this monitor is 10/10. i scored this on a price error for $155 or so a while back when Delll had pricing error.

Also i use this with a 3070 and have no issues whatsoever. Beautiful colors and IPS makes it eye candy

I have the gsync version so take this for what it's worth. I love the monitor but it's not without its quirks(maybe just mine?). I haven't been able to get it to the 165mhz option. I updated it's drivers and everything. Used DisplayPort.
I randomly get a line in the middle if my screen about 5 px folded over, as if it's folded paper, the edge of the screen is then not colored, the missing 5px. I don't always notice it. I only have to turn it off and on again and it fixes it.
The USB hub on it is really nice. I run most of my stuff through it. The cable management is nice too. There is a hole through the stand. Stand goes really high and is super easy to move the monitor, but not loose enough the monitor falls down.
Love it, I would recommend it. Just wish mine was more perfect.
They did a rma on mine for this exact issue. You have a bad gsync module

I can't tell you, I have only had mine hooked up for 2 months. It's been doing it the whole time for me. Mine is still not working correctly and I'm fighting with Dell. Other than this problem, I love the monitor.

Great monitor. I picked mine up from Best Buy in the beginning of March for $455 including tax out the door. It came with ~7-10 stuck pixels that I just gently pressed and the panel is perfect now.

I use it in conjunction with my Asus 1080p 144 Hz VG248QE panel, and the extra refresh rate and higher resolution is awesome. I play Warzone and with the right filters, I think my gameplay has improved. The monitor is also very bright. I think I run 60-70% with HDR off most of the time for general document generation or YouTube video watching.

In summary, this is a great panel and the price for Nvidia GPU compatibility.

Evga GTX 1070. Again though, the g-sync is apart of the Nvidia drivers that could have been messed up at some point. This isn't true g-sync so it doesn't have a piece of hardware in the monitor to communicate with the video card. So it tries to communicate with the monitor in other ways and the driver could have a bug. You may not know but true g-sync has a piece of hardware in them. Sorry if I'm telling you aomething you already know. Also, I'm only guessing to what could be wrong because of the research I've done.
