For nvidia owners, the key is buying a monitor on their official list. It includes Gsync panels and Certified Gsync compatible monitors. If it's on the list, it is guaranteed to be flicker free w/ gsync.

This monitor is on the list. But the dell curved 32" was not. I have this monitor with a RTX 3080 and I have had zero issues.

I have been doing a ton of Research into 1440p 144hz (min) 27in gaming monitors (and 32) the best two I have determined are this and the LG GL850-B.
This Dell has the better brightness(400 over 350), DisplayHDR 400 (over HDR 10), sRGB 144% over 135%, 165 over 144hz on DP.

Evga GTX 1070. Again though, the g-sync is apart of the Nvidia drivers that could have been messed up at some point. This isn't true g-sync so it doesn't have a piece of hardware in the monitor to communicate with the video card. So it tries to communicate with the monitor in other ways and the driver could have a bug. You may not know but true g-sync has a piece of hardware in them. Sorry if I'm telling you aomething you already know. Also, I'm only guessing to what could be wrong because of the research I've done.
Wait so it's not actually gsync?

Damn I've been looking for a 27" 2k monitor. This might be it. Someone tell me why I shouldn't get it.
I have it and its honestly pretty amazing. Colors out the box need some manual calibration but other than that, amazing monitor! Good deal!! Also using a 3080 FE with it.

G-sync compatible means it doesn't feature a g-sync hardware module built into the monitor. The reason g-sync was more expensive at first was because Nvidia required the monitor manufacturers put a hardware module in it. AMD Freesync doesn't. Nvidia decided to as another g-sync classification called g-sync compatible which doesn't require the hardware module and basically works with AMD Freesync monitors. However, this is probably why some people are having issues. Someone said it could be that the AMD Freesync spec allows LFC, Low Framerate Compensation, and the Nvidia G-sync isn't working with that correctly and it's dropping too low.

This might explain G-sync and Freesync better. https://www.tomshardware.com/amp/...,6008.html

Also, again I like the monitor. I just wish I could game on it. I don't plan on upgrading my GPU just yet. I'm just giving a warning to people. So if they notice this problem, there is no fix right now.

I have the gsync version so take this for what it's worth. I love the monitor but it's not without its quirks(maybe just mine?). I haven't been able to get it to the 165mhz option. I updated it's drivers and everything. Used DisplayPort.
I randomly get a line in the middle if my screen about 5 px folded over, as if it's folded paper, the edge of the screen is then not colored, the missing 5px. I don't always notice it. I only have to turn it off and on again and it fixes it.
The USB hub on it is really nice. I run most of my stuff through it. The cable management is nice too. There is a hole through the stand. Stand goes really high and is super easy to move the monitor, but not loose enough the monitor falls down.
Love it, I would recommend it. Just wish mine was more perfect.
The 5px line is from windows having the multi tasking or whatever it is called on. Where you can snap your windows to the side

Probably got a cranky worker in there. These monitors have advanced replacement, they send you the replacement monitor before you have to return your monitor if it's defective. Usually pretty good customer service.
Thanks you for the reply. I really try to get the replacement but it didn't work... I have asus vg259qm but honestly I prefer the asus monitor over dell's in terms of picture quality and color although it's a full hd 25in monitor.

That's definitely not accurate. While many, maybe even most, freesync displays will work with gsync, and probably almost all newer ones, there are some that won't be a great experience. You need to check Nvidia's "gsync compatible" list to be sure.

What's the best item to pair this with to take advantage of the Amex $100 back deal?
Perhaps the Dell monitor arm, which is also 10% off: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...ccessories

Not the cheapest arm out there, but this would total about $553 pre tax, triggering the $100 off. $450 + tax ain't bad for a solid monitor and arm.

Bought this last week after a lot of research. It's amazing! Never had a gaming monitor but always liked dells clean, simple design. Something you can't find in the crazy designs of other monitors. Suffice to say, I am happy and would do it again.

Bang for buck is on point!

I have this monitor. Great monitor. IPS is excellent especially when I'm rubbing one out from the side.

I love this monitor. I unfortunately bought it full price from the Dell site a couple months ago, but it's great for PC and Xbox Series X gaming!

I just bought a Dell S2721D this past week and the colors don't pop and the lettering does not look sharp. Do you think I need to tweak the settings or do you think the panel is so much different than this model S2721DGF? Any advise would be greatly appreciated since I am really not impressed with the sharpness of the S2721D
