I have an 'estate' driveway aka VERY long and this is the BEST solution we've found by far.

To anyone that denounces EGO, they are clearly a shill/troll. The brand is excellent and has now expanded to Lowes as well as a long time Home Depot placed product.

Very very long driveway
Blows wet oak leaves
Blows leaves in wet Saint Augustine grass (insanely thick grass)
Excelleth Lithium battery with a top notch fast charger as their standard
Competitively priced per premium product

I love DeWalt but even I wouldn't pick them over EGO even if that meant a different eco system entirely. And thats exactly what I did with zero regrets.

Gas tools require maintenance or are throw-away every year or two.
The Craftsman line of everything went downhill many years ago, the name no longer carries the same weight it used to.. and the products, well you've seen that first hand.

Give the Ego a chance and I'm sure you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Still a good price for this kit.... I was looking at the next size up with 650cfm and noticed their new Z6 zero turn riding mower [egopowerplus.com].... new, it is kind of pricey, but nice. EGO has done a great job with perfecting yard equipment as their forte' ....

Months ago I found a home depot clearance trimmer/530 blower kit for $200(?) And waited weeks to open it in hopes of finding that 650 blower. Eventually I gave up and honestly that 530 is great for me. Way more power than any previous plugins I've had, or battery powered neighbors have. I mainly use it to blow out garage and driveway so can't speak to it's effectiveness for grass and leaves but I'm more than happy with it

Being in the DeWalt line, it is difficult to justify more chargers and batteries in a different line and they know it. But, that 650 could be a reason... Smilie ... I really like that zero turn riding mower that says it can mow 2 acres on a charge and quiet. Wonder what a spare battery costs? .... I am betting a lot.

I have 3 levels of lines. Milwaukee 12v. Ridgid 18v. And EGO 56v. But, I only have a large yard. Think of go to John Deere for 2 acres!

I have an Ego string trimmer with the "rapid reload" head. It can be tough to take apart and it's annoying when the string breaks at the head and you have to open it up. I'm not sure if the power load head is much better but I'd spend the extra for that over buying the rapid reload (manual all black twist) head.

I had the top-of-the line greenworks stuff and tried the ego self propelled mower select cut + 530 blower and I can say hands down both are better than anything greenworks has put out. Not knocking greenworks because I liked what I had before I bought the ego stuff. Can't speak for DeWalt.

It also breaks every two years, requiring full replacement when all I need is the bottom! Ugh.
