This is a good deal! I got this printer on black friday. Took about a week to get it from anycubic (to California).

Just fyi, if you order resin from anycubic it will ship separately and take longer, so i sugessest ordering at least 1 bottle of resin from amazon so you can be up and running from day 1.

Its a great printer.

New to 3d printing, but not intimidated by it. Is this a good printer to start with? I don't need to start at beginner

I really wish that it had a larger build plate, but you have to jump up quite a bit in price to get bigger.
This is a good starter into resin, but figure out how large of things you will want to print....look into the ender 3 (filament instead of resin) if you need a larger build volume.

Yeah, good point in build height. That seems to be a limitation with a lot of these sub $300 models

Its not really the build height, its the x&y, its pretty small. I suggest you draw on a piece of paper how large the build plate is and see if you will want to print larger than that.

If you are into printing miniatures and painting them, then resin printers are the way to go, but otherwise i'd recommend a filament printer (cheaper to print and larger build volume)

I'm not into any of that, but feel like the quality of a resin printer is miles ahead of filament. That's a big concern of mine

Each has its pro's and cons (filament vs resin). Having both is really nice.

This is a great price though (I think I paid $220 on black friday).

Just make sure you are careful around resins, make sure you are well ventilated and avoid it touching your skin.

The screens get really pricey as you get up in x/y size though and this is actually bigger than the generation before (not to mention a longer lasting screen). I'm looking into them because I find I'm not using my large filament printer except for small things that get me frustrated with the (lack of) resolution.

I went straight into the monochrome screen for the resin printing.
Imo it's not worth getting non-monochrome, like you said the screen lasts longer and it prints faster.

True, I ordered a Mono X but I'm still waiting on it. I'm probably going to regret it in the long run to the proprietary firmware/board. Didn't know about the Epax E10 at the time.

Yeah, just make sure you get a screen protector, since most of these mono screen printers don't have anything other than the polarizing film to protect it.

I'm still raw-dogging it with out a screen protector, I saw people putting tape around the perimeter, but mine already had some tape around the border from the factory.
What screen protector are you using?

I ordered a custom-cut one from Mach5ive (protector + gasket), but I see a lot of people just using iPad screen protectors. Some say that they're stronger because Mach5ive just uses another FEP.

Really not a reason to pay for printer specific protectors. Cut your own and save money. All the materials are cheap and readily available.

Good deal, but the various printer manufacturers have been slicing budget model pricing across the board. Thinking new models are just around the corner.

With that said, do you think this is worth it or should we wait for new features.

I've been going back and forth on this all weekend and decided to wait. Is not necessarily that "the next big thing" is around the corner but that I don't have a specific use case for sla printing at the moment (I have a fairly heavily modded cr10s). Also, it's close to $400 to start printing and I'm not sure I can justify it for the sake of printing.

(400 for printer, wash, cure, spare few, mag build plate, resin, IPA, work tray/mat)
