Should probably pick up another bag. Hoping the seed I played down didn't show from the freeze.

FYI, I have 1/3 acre and use about 12lbs to overseed each spring. Have found 2 7lb bags is perfect once factoring in extra spot seeding in troublesome areas.
Bought 2 weeks ago at almost 2x the cost.

Per Scott's own site:
If stored in a cool, dry place, grass seed can last for 2-3 years. However, the germination rate (the number of seeds that will grow) will decrease over time, so you may not get the same results you would if you were using fresh seed. For best results, use fresh product and try to plant it within a year.
So depends on the date of the bag Amazon sends.
I have used a seed bag two years old with good results before.
I plan on placing the unused grass in a HD 5lb bucket(s) with a gasket seal lid.
