Oddly enough, I've purchased this at around $30 a couple of years ago and as someone that constantly uses a bunch of salts for dry rubs and my steaks, restacking got annoying really fast (I had 6 pieces total for those judging. I have 8 different salts that I use because I'm clearly a psychopath when it comes to food prep). What I did instead was purchase two units that had a swivel hinge and it's the most convenient change I've made, along with a multi-tier carousel for my seasonings. This is the one that I purchased. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008EQU...UTF8&psc=1

As someone who keeps three kinds of salt within reach of my stove, this tempts me.

Goes down to $20 range quite often. This is the best deal you will get. Reviews say color looks different but it still doesn't look bad. You can always buy the thirteen chefs oil if you want it to have a less dry look I guess.

I actually purchased this a while back and it works great if you have different varieties of salt that you wanna keep nearby. I still want to get a bigger salt cellar for my normal Diamond Crystal kosher though.

Mine was a little rough on the edges, the wood was dry and wasn't perfectly turned. Acacia is very soft wood, so I sanded it by hand w/ 150 grit and gave it some mineral oil treatment as I do with my cutting boards. Now they feel much better in the hand. This should have been done at the factory, IMO. They stack fine and are stable. After 20 minutes of finish work, I'm happy with it.

Given the quality, this feels like it should be the everyday price.

Solid wood bowls, storage, serving ware, or cutting boards are the absolute last things you want to buy mass produced.

I love wood and purchased dozens of wooden serving bowls and such over the years. At least 9/10 times the mass produced stuff is junk.

I've been contemplating a salt cellar for a long time now but I've actually found that the smaller, plastic oxo sugar dispenser works well. I had a glass one that cracked and emailed them. they sent me a plastic one by mistake and said to keep it so I use it for my diamond crystal and it's been pretty great.

I'm not alone? Kosher, Maldon, and Korean solar salt.
