Seems like this is a pretty standard price. Betting on impending price drops with the S7 around the corner. Appreciate everyone's comments about all these units.

Going with the S6 do to using Lidar, S4 only uses it for mapping.
Unless I am missing something, it appears that the S6, S4 and S4max all use Lidar in the same way?

The only difference I see between the S6 and the S4max is that the S6 can do mopping and performs better on hardwood and low pile carpet.

Rtings comparing the S6 to other vacs:

Not to sound like a shill, but the Wyze vaccum @$250 > every sub $400 lidar vacuum.
Identical hardware, with better software and consistent performance updates

Any reviews from the current users of E4? I am not looking for anything fancy. I have a 1200ft hardwood floor apartment.

Also does anyone know the warranty on Renewed E4? Product link doesn't have info

I have the S6 Pure. It's very reliable, and it's suction is pretty good. Maintenance is easy. App is intuitive (you can create levels, assign rooms, create 'invisible walls' or block out a section to avoid). Struggles really bad around high pile carpets(as designed). Mop is really useless - you cannot put cleaning liquid in it, just water only, it's capacity is low. Haven't used mop at all. Few months back finding the dock was difficult but that has improved a lot. Also, if you carry it by hand and place in a room, it identifies the room and vacuums according to the map. The quiet mode is not that quiet, I use it as sort of an alarm to wake up.

Coming to the wyze one - I read through their features and looks like it would have been a better buy given the price point. I ordered their hand vacuum though, waiting on it. They have advertised huge suction power. Fingers crossed. Wyze customer service had been good with other products I bought.

I picked up an S4 Max a few weeks ago so I'm still in the return window. Paid $324 for a new one. Our house is about half carpeted half hardwood. I'm really impressed with the performance of the S4. Decisions, decisions.

The wyze is based on the 1st gen Xiaomi/Roborock vacuums. I watched a comparison on YouTube and one difference I noticed is that the Wyze does not have a bumper sensor on top for the Lidar which can cause it to get stuck under furniture. Other than that and maybe a smaller battery/brush design it is definitely intriguing for the price.

Have the S6 and the thing is awesome! Only downside is the mopping doesn't work very well, cleaner in the tank clogs the tiny filters and generally mopping isn't great even with water. Every little bit helps though!

All your data goes through cloud and some Chinese IPs if that matters to you. Just isolate this thing on your network and should be good.

This looks very good. Roomba says hair doesn't get tangled in their brush. Do you have to clean the bristles often with this.Need it for the dog hair, so may have to run it everyday. Not looking forward to emptying it everyday. The Costco Roomba i8+ for $320 more looks tempting. Bed bath has i7+ for $799, with 20% off will come to $639, which is only $220 more.

I've never had a robot vacuum, just redid my first floor with porcelain tiles, no transitions or carpet and looking to buy one. Should I spring for this or the S7?

Keep the S4 Max. From what I've read, the hardware is identical between the two units.

I shed hair like crazy that always gets tangled up in my full size vacuum. I've been using a Roborock for a couple months now and haven't ever had to pull hair out of the brush. It picks up my hair, my daughters hair, and the dogs hair every day with no issues whatsoever. Emptying it takes no more than 30 seconds. A lot less time than it would take me to vacuum the house every day.

I just bought the S4 Max yesterday for $315. Any reason to send it back and get this one instead?
The mopping isn't worth a damn. Used it once and took it right off. Def don't bother
