But there is no such thing, and today Macys has the best prices I have seen them have in a long time. Like....over a year, and some; never. Its been way too long since I could just sit down and not have to spend hours trying to find ONE individual deal at a store.
I feel blessed that we have a community that supports each others deals by thumbing them up, either deal hunter deals, or other posted deals. I also feel blessed that we are able to get feedback such as yours. Today a community member literally saved my deal by telling me a link wasnt working. I did get 2 TD without realizing why at first, so I was very grateful to have it pointed out to me. I too also try to support others who post a deal.
Say what you will about the product...its one of those things that is at a price point where it suits some people's purposes without breaking the bank. It doesn't mean there isnt a place for it. Once I start putting myself in the middle of deciding what people need or want, it leads to me not posting things I otherwise should have. There are tons of products that people are crazy about that I may not think are attractive or are not my personal preference in other ways, but it doesn't mean I should withhold those products based on my personal feelings.
Anyway, feel free to take a look at my posting history, and see if you can find any prices at Macys that are close to these. The $217 All-Clad deal at +150 is a case in point. It typically frontpages at $300...and last time I posted it, it was $300 w/ $20 in Macys money, but it only got to +5 because they didn't have stock.

Have been following this for a while. It is way too regular.
If you want to game this better without raising suspicion:
Vary the number of initial TUs. Don't push so many TUs when there is zero responses or very little discussion. Or have your following post some responses not just TUs (assuming they are not alogorithmic bots).
If a posting has 3 to 4 times TUs than responses in the initial part, it is gamed. Just check the top of the Popular list any time. One can be very sure of that. And Dealhunters are the worst offenders here. I guess that is their job.

What I find ironic here is that you think a lesson on gaming a system is necessary, rather than considering my answer that the system isnt gamed. I suspect you never took the time to look at what I post or looking at what they post. Deal hunters do our best to find actual deals (which is much easier to say than to do, and it has gotten progressively harder in the 10+yrs I have been doing this. 3yrs of which, 2009-2012, I was a community member, not staff).
Here are some of my recent top favorites authored by Deal Hunters (many are no longer available):
