probably more than not using the code at all
Neither warranty covers burn-in to my knowledge.
65" is $1949.99 and has the same offer with the All-State Protection plan bundle and $100 Hulu eGift code

Hmm, been looking at OLEDs for awhile. Anyone have thoughts on getting this vs the new LG C1s?
C1 has an "upgraded" processor in it, and the claim is that the upscaling is better and it can do better audio with the exact same speakers, but I don't think the tv is any brighter which would be the only reason I would maybe say go C1 route and what is currently a $450 price difference. In fact even if it was brighter I wouldn't say the C1 is worth the current upcharge. Now if you wanted to wait for price drops like BF sales, then sure because it'll probably get to this price point just like the CX did, for a "tv now" situation then there's no real reason to go c1 over cx

OK.... after fees, how much is that take home.
Fees are going to be roughly 10% of the sale price, probably why people will sell something dirt cheap but have fairly high shipping costs which I don't think get tacked on a fee.

With ebay seller fee and paypal fee combined it's around 13% of total price, so you can get $70-80 if you sold close to $80-90. I got $77 after all fees paid.

I have always wondered if they let people do that all the time or do they call out a person after they done it numerous times.

Just curious about Costco. If you pay half or part of it with Costco Citi credit card and the rest with cash or Costco shop card, does it still get the additional warranty?

C1 this year is pretty much the same as CX only with a tweak in gaming. Not worth the upgrade in price stuck with last yr model.

If you absolutely want this TV, then no. This historically has been the lowest price it has been, including Black Friday. What most likely will happen is the remaining stock will be sold out at this price, maybe not during this round of price drops, but chances are it'll go up in price then come back down to this mark again as they "tease" people with the price to get rid of old stock, but most likely they'll see they can move units at this price without problem.

Now you could get something like a refurbished 55" for $1k if you had a MIcrocenter near by, or someone else has one. You could potentially get an open box at Best Buy (worse than refurb IMO). Or a store may sell it cheaper brand new, just to get rid of the last one or two they have, but that will be very store specific, most likely not online, and extremely YMMV.
Also, the key to buying it now from Costco is the additional warranty which is a plus and even extra warranty with costco citi card.

Yes, but only to a max value of the amount you put on the card.

(So for example if you only put $600 of the purchase on the card, the max they will pay toward repair is $600)

Yeah, I think they give you 2 years, then the Allstate warranty tacks on another 3 years on top of that for a total of a 5 year warranty. Not too shabby if you're ever really worried about things like OLED burn in.

wish I had a Costco membership. I've never bought an expensive TV before and there warranty /return policies are very appealing

Indeed, burn in is not covered. The 2 years from Costco don't cover it and the 3 free years from SquareTrade/Allstate don't cover it either.

The warranties for LCD/LED TVs are more appealing. The potential drawback of burn-in on OLED TVs is not covered though. Generally I like the Costco's warranties, but if I were to be concerned about burn-in risk then I would not value it anywhere as high.

Thanks, OP. I bought this TV less than a month ago for $1,449. I submitted a price adjustment, so I should be getting $100 back.
Will they do that?
