I figure it will be a while before these G-Sync Ultimate monitors drop since so many of them haven't even been released yet. This seems like the best deal right now, available for shipping pretty soon. Reviews seem good as well https://www.ign.com/articles/alienware-aw2721d-review[ign.com]

I bought this monitor when it was still 1200 dollars, don't regret it.
AMAZING monitor. Especially for this price considering it is: IPS, 1ms response AND includes Gsync ultimate. If you can push 1440p at 240fps, there isn't a monitor that beats this.
I can honestly say, having Doom Eternal pegged at 240fps in 1440p Ultra Nightmare with HDR on is GLORIOUS.
This is the 27" 1440p ips model that's why it's lots of $$$$
the 27" 1080p 240hz runs $400ish
Alienware 360hz 25" $600+
Samsung has a 32" 1440p 240hz 1ms curved va $700.xx

Is the Samsung G-Sync Ultimate? That's why I went with this one. Want to make full use of that new 3080 gpu, even though this monitor seems like it's set up for even well beyond that.

You can get 27" 1440p IPS for as low as $299 on sale, granted its not 240hz
240hz 1440p can hover as low as $400-500 via "TN" HP omen 27.
360hz is currently super niche and only really beneficial for latency difference (Noticable). visually, there quite close. I've gamed on one.
The 32"/27" Samsung 1440p panels are VA, but they're the fastest VA panels on the market in regards to response time. The price premium makes sense, just wish it wasn't curved.
This panel is only expensive because its "first gen" LG nano ips @ 240hz.

I don't believe their is any difference between Ultimate and "Normal" besides NVidia testing it and slapping on a different sticker. Nvidia mentions it helps with the high brightness which plagues HDR monitors but I've never noticed any difference besides the sticker. HDR on this exact model still looks just as poor as $200-300 HDR monitors.

That's good feedback. I've never had a spectacular experience with HDR as all of my "HDR" screens are not bright or look washed out. I'm hoping that putting this money into my most used screen will produce results and not more broken promises.
Acer Predator XB273U/Nitro XV272U are basically the only other choice in this category and seems to have some more favorable results. These two (most likely identical, with the former having the Predator "premium" badge) display true 10bit color at 240hz, can be OC'd to 270hz and has ULMB (if you don't suffer from eye strain and constantly play at high FPS, it's great). What's even better is that they are cheaper than the AW ($699 and $679). However the XB273 is OOS everywhere except Micro Center.

It took around 30 minutes for me yesterday. Last week it took 3 days. It's a crap shoot.
