I have been using fitbits since 2015. They have always been the best fitness tracker on the market and they have always been horrifically over priced.
Lately I've been concerned about a pattern I'm noticing with their older devices - i have a charge 2 and a Versa and have the same issues with both. They don't sync about one out of ten times. About two days out of seven I don't get sleep detail.
This all started after their last round of new devices were released and the app was updated to support them. I've contacted support countless times and the response is always the same : it's you not us and here we will give you 25% off one of our newest devices at an additional cost to you of no less than $150.
So forgive me if I don't throw more good money after a product that isn't going to work right in a year. I'm very fed up with fitbit and I'm even more fed up that no one else competes with them.

Yep, I've had the same issue. My Charge 3 has been very robust and I've seen lots of complaints about the Charge 4 being more delicate. But my Charge 3 doesn't sync consistently, but eventually it does and backfills the prior days.
I have the Apple Watch now but I still prefer Fitbit's app and detailed sleep tracking.
I was waiting to see if Google would change the ecosystem or leave it as it.
I saw an article where the tech they have built into their phones offers even more advanced insights than Fitbit. With googles history I would be very nervous about Fitbit being discontinued.
I agree.. had 2 Fitbits charge 2and both failed within one year, replaced them and 1 failed again. Charge 3 also failed but i could return it and get my money back.. Better to buy a cheaper Amazfit Bip .. happy with that.
The charge3 lasted about 13 months. I feel stupid for buying this one but it's still better than the cheap Asian knock offs from amazon, at least the 2 that i've tried. (My garmin lasted almost 2 years) I hate that they don't last and wind up as landfill.

i cant buy another Fitbit after my charge 3 terrible customer service product just up and died less than year they wouldn't cover anything. after 3 months was super finicky with syncing data. when it worked i liked the data but its premium price for a sub premium product.
Im trying to find any other brand that had reliable HR monitor and sleep tracking

Anyways i don't like their quality and customer service after 3 of our charge 3's had horizontal dead lines and then died.
Wyze band is $30 shipped.
