Do SSD's frequently have this problem?
I'm using my MacBook Air from 2013 and never had a problem with the SSD (although I replaced the battery twice.)

No, as you've seen, SSD drives are very reliable... And don't have issues without heavy data transfer/use.

This is a very good laptop, I like it a lot. You aren't going to be able to replace ssd or ram.

I had a 2tb XPG s50 lite nvme fail after 4 month of light use. If you aren't using it for heavy IO, it can last 10+ years. Otherwise if you're doing software development or video editing you can purchase external nvme enclosure for $20 and put any ssd you like.

Had 2 ssd's crash (about 1 year use) was just using them on my pc as boot drives. and doing reading and writing on the second drive. The C drive was just for boot and program files. not as a scratch disk also.

Just pay for icloud if you want your data to backed up all the time. If you have iPhone and Macbook, it works great.

There was a post a couple weeks (maybe months) back where someone listed a website that didn't charge tax... would anyone happen to know? It was like something and brothers or something and sons.

This is a non-issue with too much hype around it for article and youtube content views.

Costco has it for $950 and you get 2 years warranty. If you pay with Costco Citi card, you get 2 additional years warranty. Worth paying $50 bucks extra for 4 years warranty if you have the Citi card.

Just bought a "Apple Certified Refurb MBA M1 8 Core GPU, 8gb RAM, 512gb SSD, Gray" for $1,059 before tax on Apple Store.
Microcenter wanted the same model/specs but new for $1,179.99.

Does anyone know if this has the butterfly keyboard that was reported to have issues in some MacBooks?
