I'd only lament the fact that the cash-based system teaches kids a number of relevant mathematics skills. I was playing Monopoly this weekend with my niece and nephew who are 4 and 6, and the 6 year old was even teaching the 4 year old some basic math concepts. Things like - it costs $12 but I only have $1, $5 and $20 bills, and I'm out of $10s. So I have to pay with two $5s and two $1s. This would have been lost if they just paid it electronically using their bank balance. I get the speed of play aspect and I realize cash transactions are not commonplace anymore. But, sucks to lose out on learning opportunities. My 2c.

Also, part of the fun of Monopoly IS that it lasts all night and eventually families are torn apart by drunken arguments stemming from someone becoming a ruthless landlord around 8 hours into gameplay. Right?
I'll buy one without using SD cb

Hmm...

Am i the one that has to say it??

Eh, i have no real account built-up on Slickdeals, so sure.

The purpose of this "electronic" version (which has actually been around for a LONG time) is so that people wouldnt have worry about ruining or losing cash. The game moves faster because there's less math/drudgery during turns. No real "banker" that has to count out the cash, and do the simple math involved.

I mean, think what you will of it... But i love the electronic version as far as BOARD GAMES go, because clean-up is easier, and the game plays faster. Its a good example of how to improve a product without ruining the rules at all.

Thank you mods for deleting that craziness! Just more proof that the elite boogeyman are trying to censor us lol.

What does it mean by "PC required"? Does this thing need to be hooked up to a PC while playing?

PC required refers to getting the Slickdeals Cashback.

... unless you're questioning the boogeyman, then PC means politically correct.

Do kids actually like this? I remember playing the electronic money version of monopoly when I was babysitting 10 years ago and it was so slow and tedious compared to the "cash" version.

All of what you say has some merit... Even the drunken ruthless landlord parts. Stick Out Tongue

Wow...so they're getting rid of cash to get kids get used to a cashless system...yikes. Guess I'm not that surprised, just didn't think things would be turning that soon. Get ready for major changes for our future generations. Careful what you say or your chip will get turned off.

Blah blah blah...
Do you have a smartphone? Congrats, you've already been "microchipped". No one forced you to get one. No one secretly put it on you. You willingly accepted one.

What's the difference from this and the ultimate electronic banking that Amazon sells?
