Ubereats jacks up the price on food so much that even if you play this perfectly for the max discount at the lowest purchase ($15 discount on $30 of food), you're really only saving a few bucks in the end.

I will order pick up through Uber Eats if there is a discount offered of at least $5. I buy Uber Eats gift cards usually at 10% off. Finally, I go through one of the shopping portals to save a little more. Yesterday, I also used my Amex Hilton card for an extra $5 off. By calling the restaurant direct to place an order, I don't save any money- unless it is a chain that offers gift cards at a discount.
Edit to say that yes, depending on the restaurant, the Uber Eats prices can be higher, in some restaurants its only about .50 cents more a dish in others its a few dollars.

I think this depends on the situation, for a couple places near me its the same price.

i scheduled 2 orders last night for pick up today and they both got canceled without any sort of notification. I even got a text for both orders this morning saying that i would get an alert when the items were being prepared. not sure why ubereats canceled them as i was able to reorder and pickup.
