Yes it is.

This is a good deal.

I would recommend calling around locally if you need a large quantity.

My wife called a farm up the road from us and they charge $20yd for garden soil (not screened) And $30/yd for screened soil (larger items like mulch are sifted out).

I had good luck last year planting grass seed using screened soil.

The miracle grow comes out to $72 / yd vs $30 if I buy locally. I'm so close they waive the delivery, but if you have a pickup it may work for some. (Farm also doesn't charge me tax 🤫)

Again, this is a good deal, but I would call around if you need more that 10 bags or so. I'm sure location matters, Im in NJ and happen to be close to a lot of farm.

I will add the convenience of transporting bags vs having to shovel into a cart and dump should not be ignored. Very easy to toss a bag into the garden bed, cut open and dump.
Got any deals on a time machine?
Sigh. When did I get so old? Scrolling through 5 pages worth of comments to try and figure out if SOIL is a good deal and what I need to rehab my lawn. Is this the type of adulting I've been reduced to? 🤷

Haven't bought this for a long time. Been using Kellogg's Garden soil. To compare prices, 3 cubic foot of Kellogg's cost $8.97. So 4 bags of this stuff will cost $8. Also 3 cubic foot of dirt is heavy. These bags are much easier to handle but I don't like the random pieces of filler garbage (glass, metal, rubber, cardboard) that they try to pawn off on you.

So if you have Lowes 10% off or military discount, you can get each bag for 1.93
Lowes has a sale for $2.14. While its more expensive than HD, you can apply military discount if you have it. I paid 1.93 each.

Got 5 bags today at NJ HD. While I was there in the garden area, saw the HD associates busy picking these bags for online orders/curbside pickups.
The storage aisle was almost empty. SD effect!

The only Kellogg's bags I've seen in my town are 2 cu. ft., and those are heavy enough for me.

My local supplier has similar pricing for garden mix, $17.95/yd, self-haul. I'm in Olympia, WA. However, since they just use a loader and dump it into my truck. I usually get a lot more than a yard. Probably 10-15% more. But the convenience of bagged dirt is worth it in certain situations. I'll be getting 1-2 yards for use throughout the year.

lets be honest this is not SOIL, it's wood chips. I would recommend for anyone wanting to use this is to compost with food and warms over a year, and next year you will have something worth using.

miracle-gro should not be labeling this stuff as Soil. any experienced gardener will tell you to stay away.

No... at least I wouldn't. It says specifically for in ground use on the front of the bag because it has not really finished composting into 'dirt.' Buy potting soil....
