To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Yes that was me. T-force said to not touch your plan, including the data option changes 🤷 ♂️; on the 18th the free unlimited data will kick in (I presume it's an added data option). Only lines on your grandfathered plan before today will be eligible.

I have 9 lines, 7 already with unlimited high speed data w/ 10GB LTE hotspot, one with just 10GB LTE (so this will get the free upgrade), and one that I paid $15/mo for unlimited data (unfortunately this one will likely not get it since it already has the "paid" unlimited high speed data option) - this line missed it last time too because I had the $15 unlimited high speed data option, oh well.
You need to drop the $15 as soon as possible or you'll be paying the $15 forever.

Read my message above I replied to you. They ALREADY know which lines you have don't have the unlimited option at the start of 4/7/21; those lines will get the free upgrade. Dropping the paid option on a line NOW won't make it eligible and you can risk not being able to get that option back. Just a warning. I spent 2 months calling to get that grandfathered option back, trust me on this.

So, if Im gettint it right - you still have to pay for the Gapaxy A32 but will get it "reimbursed" through bikl credits in 24 months, correct?

Not a big deal I won't lose sleep over it. It's not like the family member who uses that line is not using any data at all, he uses almost 50GB a month. If I get it great. I already get a lot of freebies from T-Mobile so they easily cover $15. I just don't want to have to try to get that option back (very hard by the way, you need level 3 support to get it recovered for a grandfathered option) if I don't get the free upgrade on that line.

Here's the one of the messages I got from T-Force while chatting with them:

Quote :
I understand what you're asking XXXXX. To be clear, you should not remove that unlimited data feature, as any modifications to your lines would disqualify you from that upgrade. The benefit we're offering customers is a one time upgrade to unlimited, so our customers can enjoy unlimited at the price they currently already pay for a limited data plan. If you already have unlimited whether you pay for it as an additional feature or if you have one of our unlimited plans, this upgrade will not apply to you.

Does any one know Simple choice plans are included in unlimited internet. I only get 2.5 gb per line and I have 10 lines
It wouldn't make any sense if Simple Choice plans weren't included. If I were still on my 2.5GB Simple Choice plan, I'd be jumping for joy.

I think unlike 2 years ago, when only plans with data stash got the free unlimited data upgrade, this one may include all SC plans with any limited data

I've gotten free phones in the past via bill credits. There's nothing you'll pay for (besides taxes on full price of the phone). I'm guessing the "costs" will be $0 up front, $11.75/mo over 24 months for the phone, and $11.75/mo in bill credits making it net zero per month.

Anyone know how to "pay off" such a "free" phone to get the EIP off the line and onto the account level? Is such a thing possible?

No...

Tmobile "will not allow you to pay off the phone early" so for you to get 24 months of credits, you need to be charged 24 months.

Tmobile will not unlock a phone unless it is paid off.... It's a CATCH 22. If you pay off the phone early, you lose the monthly credits and if you want the phone unlocked it needs to be paid off in full. This is my understanding.

The 40 day thing is if you buy a phone outright from Tmobile... then they will not unlock the phone until 40 days.
This is FALSE!

You can pay off early and retain the bill credits but to be safe wait till it shows up on first bill.

In fact you can even put a down payment at time of purchase and you will still get the bill credits.

I have two phones paying me monthly right now that already have been paid for….unlocked….and sold. Still getting credits for next year.

T-force told me the system already did a snapshot today so downgrading it won't make that line eligible. See my post above. I missed it 2 years ago when they texted out the promo too and all my lines got it for free except the one with the paid unlimited data option; i immediately removed the paid option to no avail because they already know which lines don't have the unlimited data when they texted the promo message.

So be careful. If you remove that paid option on a grandfathered plan it may be VERY HARD to get it back. I'm going to leave it alone and just hope on the 18th my line gets it. Otherwise, I still have that paid option.
I bit the bullet and removed my unlimited 4G add-on for $20/month that ive been paying for over the last 8 years. If the system won't upgrade it for free, I'll try to ask them to manually add the SOC code. I asked them to make the data option change retroactive, so we'll see if that helps anything.

Good luck! I mean it Smilie . If it works I'll kick myself. I'm tempted to do it also but the family member who uses that line is above 10GB LTE already and my next bill cycle is not until the 25th so if I do it now he'll be stuck with 2G until the 18th (if the free upgrade does come through).

Did it remove it right away? Or it's scheduled for the next bill cycle?

So I'm thinking if removing the option doesn't take effect until your new bill cycle starts, and it's AFTER the 18th, then you won't get the free upgrade (if the system didn't already count today as the cutoff date for the "unlimited data" state of that line); that's another reason I'm not doing mine because my bill cycle is AFTER the 18th.

Btw, does anyone know how to get the "SOC code" for the grandfathered Unlimited 4G data add-ons? I know there's one w/ 7 GB hotspot that's $10/mo; mine is with 14GB hotspot for $15/mo; I'm not sure what yours is for $20/mo.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking here, if you paid off the phone you will still get the credits to the account.

Not really an illusion for everyone if you are smart and play your cards right with tmob promos. Free is free if you plan on staying with Tmobile. I switched from VERIZON years ago and never looked back. Trade in some junk if ya got it, or buy a trade in off CL or wherever. Get the $800 or $830 in bill credits..pay it off and flip phone if ya don't need it. Obviously you'll get a little less, but you'll still get the bill credits. Wife's got and Iphone 12 after trading in a 8 I bought for 150 and I got s21 ultra, 800 off, by turning in a phone with street value of about 150.

Working 5 past promos, my eip bill credits are about $38 more my eip payments on the 2 new phone we use. And I have a negative $500 balance. Basically eip equals minus $38 from my bill...the best part is the bill... grab those free lines....I recently joined the 9-12 line club, with hookup, my bill comes to $69 with netflix. for 9 lines, 4 paid,5 free. Then.... there are 4 kickbacks knocking atleast another $32 off. So now that my brings plan down to $37. Factor in my negative $38 eip and for the next 16 to 20 months I'll be are minus $1 a month with over $500 account credit. Even if I do nothing else, when BC's run off, I'll be back to paying $37/month....but with over $500 in credit, it'll be over 3 years before I have to pay. Beats handing verizon $250/month.
I have 10 phone lines with EIP credits on all of them and most phones fully paid and sold and I have a negative $1200+ on my account and it actually goes up about $50/mo until a few of my credits expire in about a year and then it will still take about 1 more year for all the credit to be used up. I've been with T-Mobile for 18 years and don't plan to leave anytime soon so I welcome these EIP deals since they're money maker for me. EIP credits are not for everyone but if you're staying with T-Mobile, I say why not take advantage of such deals.

I have a bag of ancient phones from the early 2000s. No idea if any will charge or turn in but should be fun to try.
The holy grail, circa Verizon old phone credits all over again, good timesBeer

But Tmo has this well covered. I'm proud to be a part of both moments in $D historynod
