To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

old SOCs can be added no matter what people say here. My advice would be to un-enroll from the paid option then wait for the free upgrade. If you don't get it, tell the CS that the outs release said everyone would be upgraded so you canceled your paid one but if it's not free then to put you back on the plan you had. Get you soc code so you have it in hand just in case you need it. Good luck and all the best
Are you 100% sure tho? I don't mind canceling mine

exactly only works good for people grandfathered to old postpaid plans where they pay little money

THE CURRENT POST PAID PLANS are expensive, the cheapest one is $60 and it only gives you 50gb of data. If you have this plan or the older grandfathered postpaid plans, then you'll be switched to unlimited.

People like me with prepaid, it wouldn't make sense to switch to a post paid plan because

1. You'll pay more depending on how much you pay on prepaid
2. Prepaid plans are cheaper and you get more bang for your bucks hence why Tmobile treats us like shit always never qualifying for anything and we can not use the tmobile app because is not allowed for prepaid plan. That's discrimination right there.
3. You can get a prepaid unlimited plan for only $50
4. If you have a $30 or $40 prepaid, it would be retarded to switch to $60 postpaid just to take advantage of this promotion

why?

cause you'll end up paying more in 2 years which is the required time to keep the postpaid plan, $480 more or even $720 for the $30 prepaid guys

LMAO you are actually losing money

It only works good for grandfathered postpaid that still pay little money like $15 or something, everyone else on NOT postpaid and paying less than $60 is screwed

Then you're doing it wrong.

9 lines here, $105 unlimited plans.... and 4 free iphones (two iphone 12) over the past years, many others here have better plans than me.

This will most definitely cause a flood of A32's on Swappa, ebay and CL. I'm guessing they will be going for around $150-175 after 40 days when they can be unlocked.
I'm still planning to unload an old windows phone to this deal, but to keep and not flip.
With so many A32's about to land in people's hands, Im hoping the folks at XDA will be able ramp up their projects for this, and make some magic happen with this phone.
I'd love for them to turn this baby into a dual sim.
With all the free tmob lines, dual sim phones are a God send to those of us that are into text to win radio contests....lol more chances to win.
😁
Samsung generally block dual sim capability in US .

Thanks for all the info in the comments.. I have a question which i didnt see being answered(or i might have missed) . I have a simple choice plan and have the add-on for unlimited international calling at the account level(which means all lines get it for free.. not billed by every line). WIll that go away or will they not upgrade my account since i have that add-on? TIA
I don't think your plan will be "changed" so everything you have will stay the same except for the data portion; if your data portion is limited to X GB LTE data, they will add a free unlimited 4G (or whatever they call it to include 5G) data addon and likely select it automatically. I don't know what this means for hotspot, what speed is available for it. Unlike the free unlimited high spped data upgrade texts they sent out to SC plans with data stash 2 years ago, you can't opt out of this. I guess some people prefer to have the stash at full unthrottled speed for their hotspot usage

He is talking about Current Postpaid rates without promotion and he only need 1 single line. In his situation, pre-paid is the best since it require no credit check and cheaper.

He hopes XDA's folks will help unlock bootloader and make custom ROM to enable dual-SIM function when this phone floats the market. They used to do that on some Android phones before. However, I think it gonna be difficult due to 5G compatibility and improved security features.

I have a similar plan, Simple choice with 8 lines, its my understanding that internet has always been unlimited. However, only the 1st 4gb are at high speed and then after that its low speed 3G/2G. So, I'm wondering with this announcement, will we get bumped up to unlimited high speed data or does everything remain the same.
Good question, I'm in the same boat. And recently I even bit the bullet and started paying for unlimited high-speed data add-on at $20 per line. The chat agent yesterday mentioned "if your data plan is migrated to the unlimited plan we offer for FREE, no need to pay those additional fees for high-speed data. And while we are waiting for our batch to be migrated, we would need to pay the $40 for the meantime."

I bit the bullet and removed my unlimited 4G add-on for $20/month that ive been paying for over the last 8 years. If the system won't upgrade it for free, I'll try to ask them to manually add the SOC code. I asked them to make the data option change retroactive, so we'll see if that helps anything.
The T-Force agent mentioned the following: Appreciate your patience! You got it right, if your data plan is migrated to the unlimited plan we offer for FREE, no need to pay those additional fees for high-speed data. And while we are waiting for our batch to be migrated, we would need to pay the $40 in the meantime.
