To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I'll wait until April 18 to see. No biggie. I'm chilling. I've done this a couple times in past and dropping it didn't take effect until the next bill cycle and my next bill cycle is after the 18th so even if I unselected that option now it still shows as active on the 18th. I sure as hell will not contact T-Mobile to mess with my account to drop it immediately knowing how they have a tendency to screw up stuff, like switching plans.
If I don't get it for that paid addon line I'll just drop later and use one of the SOC codes I found; that was my problem before I didn't have a code to give them to try to get unlimited high speed data for free
I called on the 7th. The option to drop in the app isn't available to me. And it was effective immediately. My account now shows only 4gb for my line. The unlimited I had will be pro rated for the rest of the month so maybe only $10.

How positive are you?

(i'm about to call and drop it)
I'm pretty confident even if you have the $20 unlimited options on the 18th you can switch to the Free option. But I'm more confident in dropping it and unifying my entire 10 lines the same at the free 4gb free option. My line was the only one with unlimited. So now all 10 are. No way TMobile will screw us all. They want to make it free. That's why they are doing it.

I assume this does not count towards hotspot. My One Plus promo I think gives unlimited hotspot but only 10gb high speed which is what matters.

Your plan doesn't make sense. If you're confident you can drop it after the 18th, why wouldn't you wait. If you drop it now, it's possible you could screw up your plan and at minimum, spend hours fighting with t-mobile to sort out. On the other hand, if you wait until after the 18th, then try to drop the unlimited, at worse case, you paid an extra month.

Aside from the unlimited data on phones, my question is what does the hotspot limits look like. Is it going to be unlimited? Doubtful. If not, is it going to be based on what your initial plan offered?

My plan does make sense. Because I think it's a conspiracy theory that changing anything now ruins your chances. Nobody has any facts of that. I'm just saying I rather unify my entire plan together and wait till the 18th then hope my $20 gets dropped. The fine print in the video states the line needs to be older then 4-7-21 not the data. Line and data are completely different things.

I am on SCFUTTBD, paying for 2 lines at $100/month, unlimited data and 7GB hotspot.
Any suggestion on which SOC to use to lower the monthly while keeping all other promo (add a line) I have?
You can check that master SOC list I posted. Maybe check out Reddit since they have all kinds of discussions and tips and experiences subscribers have done to switch plans. At this point I'm not sure if you switch to a cheaper "non-unlimited" SC plan you will get the free upgrade come the 18th.

No knows for sure and time (the 18th) will tell. I'm not betting my life on what T-force told me and another user here, but I'm not dropping my paid option either as a few others suggested (I spent 2 months just to get that paid option added, they don't know the trouble I went through). But if it's similar to the free unlimited high speed data promo they did 2 years ago when they texted SC subscribers of plans with data stash, once you received the text you couldn't just unenroll the paid unlimited data addon for the line to get that line the free upgrade. They had 3 or 4 rounds of this 2 years ago, I got the text in 2 of the rounds and each time I unenrolled the paid unlimited data option for that one line and it didn't get the free upgrade; my other lines with limited LTE data did. I ended wasting a lot of time and effort to get that $15 paid option back because the family user for that line is a data hog. So that was my experience. So I feel it going to be similar. And again IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL, as some have suggested I need to do drop the paid option ASAP. If I don't get it I now at least have the SOC codes to try to get it for free without doing anything to my account

does anybody know if the "unlimited data SOC add-on" will just replace the data add on for the Simple Choice plans? For example, I have a couple lines on my Select Choice plan that have a 6gb Add-on for an extra $15/month. Would that drop off and be replaced by the unlimited data add on and reduce my bill as well?

thanks for your perspective.
Perhaps at this point I am not gonna do anything but taking future AAL promo to make my per-line-price lower, than messing with my SOC/account.

Repped you for answering my question.

Nobody knows this. And everything is a conspiracy theory right now. I would drop down to the 4gb free if I was you but maybe it won't matter. I personally think they will replace those 6gb and 10gb $15 $30 option where you are talking about in the add on section with a "Unlimited Free" option. Now the question is will it allow you to stop paying the $15? Maybe. Maybe they just switch your $15 to Unlimited. Who the heck knows at this point. BUT I rather have all my lines with the "FREE 4GB option now" then hope they stop charging me $20.

I understand that those 4 rounds the last few years upgrading people off the data stash to unlimited didn't allow you to drop your Paid options. But this time around it isnt a limited special event. I never got those texts. Nobody ever got updated. This time it's a SYSTEM WIDE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! ITS ON A FREAKING VIDEO. Last time you had to be lucky as crap. The Reps are going to have access to much better tools this time around to help midigate issues. Last time there was no tools they had. Just lucky as piss.

Also they don't talk to the CEO. He doesn't have time for that. Don't ever trust that. They are hoping people don't drop it cause they want that extra money.
I got to speak to some executive's at T-Mobile once. All friendly people, but all limited on how you act really. I was given my EIP paid off before, because of an miss understanding. But I'm sure if you acted like an asshat, they wouldn't do much.

It's obvious that there a bunch of mixed decisions on what is going to happen. I guess to be honest, it's a gamble regardless of how it is.

TForce told me if I changed it now, i would be disqualified from the Unlimited data, and would have to re-add it for $30
