To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Sorry I meant having multiple device credits per line. I was told in the past that if you do another device credit promo on a line with an existing device credit promo, you forfeit the original remaining device credits in lieu of the new device promo.
That would be true if you haven't paid off the first device early before getting a new device on an equipment plan. If you do have an EIP on a line, you can pay off that device balance and the recurring device credits will become account level, thus no longer being line level credits. That's when you can get add a new promotion on that line and get line level device credits while still getting the original credits that are now on the account level.

See link in 2 posts up from this about EIP payoff and recurring credits.

I have a iPhone 5c w/ a stuck sim card - functions fine otherwise. Anyone think they'll care for the trade-in for a iPhone mini?

Last few iPhones I traded in, they removed the sim card slot to verify the water damage sensor. You might run into issues if they can't perform this validation

The 2020 and 2021 Moto G Power phones have all of the T-Mobile LTE bands. Hopefully someone can comment if there's really any hope of getting better service for your parents by using a 5G capable phone. Good news is that the A32 5G phones are effectively free to try out and you're under no obligation to use them if you prefer other phones.
Everyone's results are going to be different, but for me at home the 5G n71 tower is 2X as far away as the 4G 66/71 tower. . .so with my Sammy's I get the same speed on 5G as it reverts back to 4G after trying 5G signal. In fact speeds are just slightly faster when I turn 5G off.

My gateway always teeters between "good" and Very Good, so I'm not at the edge of reception but far enough away to tell the difference in reception between the sammy and 2020 G Power on phone calls anyways. The audio cuts in an out occasionally on the MOTO when the reception is on the lower end, and have to jump over to the Sammy to make the call. And the Sammy is usually 10% or so faster on the speed tests than side by side with the G Power (both on 4G) so maybe the G Power, while I like it, has decent but not great antennas.
Again these are just observations from home. If I'm in town and need heavy data I flip the 5G on. Otherwise keeping the Sammy on 4G makes it's 4500mah battery more like the beast in the Moto G.

I'm hoping they add n71 to the 4G tower that's close to me. Then I will see big difference between 71 and n71. Maybe the people you were responding to from rural South Carolina will be lucky and have that n71 tower close by. Better chance of them getting it than me, as we're too populated (barely lol) to be part of the rural 5G rollout, and to sparse to be part of the normal urban buildout yet.

There is some Soc's that will allow you to maybe get some unlimited data for free.
That is different from this free unlimited promotion. It's more like T-Mobile agent's courtesy credit and very YMMV to find an agent to add it for you, just like some people can call retention center and get a free phone or a heavely discounted phone.

Yes. I had it and I am on the 9-12. It's great. When I converted to 9-12 it became line level. My original 9 lines get kickback but my 10 and 11 free lines show kickback but the -$30 is greater and that's what comes off. I do get kickback on 7 of the 9 original Lines
Paid lines get kickback $ off and free ones don't, even though it appears it does on the bill for socs with 8 lines or less.

Yes very difficult to find reps lately who will add kb to free lines. Took me multiple tries to finally get it on my 4th free line yesterday.

If they are giving you an Unlimited data as an add-on to your plan, how much hot spot do you get? Does it default back to what data you already had? ie 2gb data plans get 2gb hotspot?

Does this help answer your question?? [t-mobile.com]

If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).
This is exactly why I prefer tmobile upgrade EIP / deals over Sprint (even tho they merged), with Sprint accounts if your line is under *any* EIP Promo you got to pay it off first and it basically negates the new promo if you have to pay the non discounted rate off.

With T-Mobile you can pay off the amount, have the RDC moved to account level, AFAIK you cannot replicate this *with* sprint..now part of tmobile lol ...

That's how it's worked in the past. One of our lines was a $10 3GB plan and now it's a $10 unlimited w/ 3GB hotspot plan.

All, I did some search, and looks like the last DP in tmobile customer forum still whining about losing the monthly credit credit after paying off EIP early. Where is the data point showing tmobile already fixed it?

It made you think this answered the question. But in tmobile forum, all customers complained that the Reps told them this information, but losing the monthly credit after paying off EIP, and they need to spend 6~10 hours on the hone trying to find a supervisor to refund their full EIP payment to restore the monthly credit

They likely tried to pay the phone off before the credits started. If you pay it off before the promo is validated and begins, you won't get the credit. I always wait til the first credit hits the bill then pay off if need be. Have never had an issue and across all my lines, that's easily 10 promo credit deals over the last few years.
