To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

have you guys had any horror stories with mailing in your trade ins?
Wondering if its better just to do the in-store tradein as they take it right there, but you still pay $20 support fee (as opposed to going to costco to do it). store rep told me that as long as they have the phone physically stock then they'll take the trade in on the spot.
I recently sent in two, with no problem. I was worried that the iphone 8 I sent would have been rejected because it a pretty deep scratch on screen. Fingernail would hang up on it...but it was accepted without any problem.

Did anyone confirm it doesn't have to be a Tmobile phone. I have some old Blackberry phones that were with AT&T.... (With the infamous keyboard!) those should be good right?

never did trade-in at t-mobile -- for the phone trade-ins by mail, can you send all 4 in the same envelope, or will each trade-in require a different envelope?

I have traded by sending my devices in three times. Never a trouble. It took awhile and a lot of worries, but it always received and processed in the end. I'm going to be mailing it in this time for my family as well, because the store always try to upsell them with these promo. They made my family member buy $50 in accessories to add a free line.

I would recommend otherwise. Unlike A32 deal, this iPhone trade-in is only from 4/18-5/1. There is a chance that the trade-in list would change again to include a couple of models below 11 to get a 12. If they are offering a significant upfront one time credit for a 11 series trade in, that would make sense but it's still bill credits over two years. Instead of base $830, if this had been "11 Pro for a 12 Pro on us" or "11 Pro Max for a 12 Pro Max on us", that would have been slightly better.

Is this going to be the same for existing customers and don't require a new line? If so, I can upgrade the phone to 12 on my free line and trade-in my 11, as such deals for upgrades are rare.

When did you upgrade from 7? Last year in October, around the time when 12 series was released, there was trade-in for 7 or 6S ($800 off) to get a 11 Pro 64GB for $100 or 11 Pro Max 64GB for $200 - both with 24-month bill credits. SE2 was good, but given how quick the phone lost value since it's release, the $100/$200 spend was a better option to go to 11 Pro series. Based on how things are going, 12 Mini could have the same fate as SE2 with price cuts.

When 13 comes, I expect 11 to still be there as a full trade-in value unless someone really wants the 12 now. Even then, if someone has a 11 Pro series then they can keep them instead of switching.

My $0.02!
Yes, missed the 7>11 deal as I traded in the 7>SE2 the minute it came out in May or so since it was a simple swap for existing customers. I may have completely missed the $100/200 upgrade deal as I wasn't always paying attention at that time as I thought I was good. Sounds like that surely was good offer.

I loved the SE2 and I still think it's a great phone, probably one of the best budget phones around. I transformed it for a 12 Mini as I like the small form factor. The mini is a great phone. It's just not loved, will likely lose value quickly. I don't care since I did not pay full price. Essentially I sold my SE2 256GB phone, bought a cheap iPhone 8 instead and traded that for a mini in November when they had that switch offer when you could trade an 8 for a mini and just pay the tax.

You get a prepaid label for USPS from them, one for each item. I recommend keeping them all separate as each trade has their own RMA number, keep things clean = less trouble.

Makes sense. SE2 had a lot of attention when it was released but lost its charm soon. Also, more importantly, you did it as an existing customer which isn't always appealing. I was able to use my trade in as a new account / line in October.

Please read second paragraph in my response. Smilie I did get a 12 last month with the free line trading in an 8+.

As an existing customer, I will, if I can upgrade the phone on the free line. Have a 1.5 year old 11 that's already paid ($400 Sams GC BF 2019) and given I am not paying for the line, it would be worth exchanging it rather than trying to go elsewhere and come back in as a new line. It is still unclear if the iPhone trade-in is available for existing lines as well. Will know this weekend.

If you upgrade the phone, do you have to upgrade the plan as well? Still on tmobile one plan.
