To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Anyone have any first hand experience or feedback on the processor (Mediatek Dimensity 720 5G MT6853) for the Samsung A32? Anyone know how it would compare to say a SnapDragon 632? or maybe even compared to a MediaTek MT6762?
Mediatek 720 is about 40-50% faster than snapdragon 632/662/665 and about 10-20% slower than snapdragon 690/732.

Correct, Costco can do trade-in through Direct Delivery option. But you may not be able to get the discounted price (e.g. $699 for iPhone 12).

Good thing on Costco order is no SIM/assist fee, 90 days return window and no restocking fee, free shipping.

BTW, Costco just updated the BYOD promotion to $300 for a new line.
Did the BYOD get extended? We added two lines yesterday, as it was the last day.

Can confirm that this is correct. They do take trade-ins, but you got to mail it directly to T-Mo. That's the difference. The kiosk won't accept it. If its stackable then the Costco deal would be the best (this happens almost every time they have a special deal) since the 12 itself is onsale and when combined with the trade-in value, would drop the cost down significantly. Oh, and the credit is in the form of a Visa card and not bill credits. That itself is way better. You just front the cash and get it back in 6-8 weeks.
Three questions: how do you find out if it's stackable, how do you get the shipping label for the trade in, and is it a Visa card or a Costco card

Costco offers are usually low profile i.e. less trade-in value for the same reason (it's prepaid card and not 24 months bill credit)!
If this deal is available in Costco as well (which I doubt it will) then nothing like it but mostly it won't be available and if at all it's available then they will (as usual) give less trade-in value...!
We will see on Sunday morning I guess!
On another note,
Can we "upgrade" for Samsung A32 in Costco as well? I mean do they carry this device and if yes, then here also same rules right? They will mention the old phone's IMEI on the Assurant rebate application and we will receive the full Samsung phone's value (minus the old phone's FAIR value) as prepaid rebate card, correct?

1. Costco folks will tell you if these are stackable or not.
2. I think they print it and give you paper or when you come home and submit the Assurant application online (using the details given by) then it will allow you to print the shipping label. I don't remember which one but we do get the shipping lable for sure.
3. Last time it was Visa card for the device trade-in rebate. But BYOD (when you add a line) offers give you Costco cards.

So end of 24 months? If I travel and want to use a SIM in a different country, would they still be unwilling to unlock it?

If you purchase a trade in device from gazelle/swappa/glyde/etc is it possible to get the ESN/IMEI after purchasing it or do you have to wait for it to be delivered?
If you buy from Swappa that info is recorded on your order. So once paid you can get that info from your order details. Can't say what the other companies do.

I doubt it. My phone is paid off but they denied the unlock due to the bill credit but wouldn't hurt to ask.

Sure, as long as it's a regular promotion, you'll see the promo offer listed. Just complete the order online. Provide the trade-in info when prompted, as easy as select device, indicate the condition and done. They'll then provide a shipping label to apply to box to mail your trade-in. I've done this for past 4 phones. BTW, I originally thought like you but in chat with T-Force rep they said I could just do it online. Done that way ever since. Smilie

Updated the OP to reflect the changes in trade values.

At the time it was posted, 6s Plus, 6s, 6 Plus, 6, SE1 was in the $415 tier. I guess they thought that was too generous and moved them down to the $365 tier

This thread gets cluttered with a lot of the same questions so sorry for not keeping up.
Really appreciate your post...but everytime we have threads about T-Mobile, as have many many posts with all the same questions which you can find all the answers in first post...specially about EIP, pay it off and still received the credit even it's in writing at T-Mobile web site....condition of the trade-in phone....try to get the deal before starting date...try to do plan shuffling before the deal start..read...read....read..
Unfortunately the deal haven't start yet..wait until Sunday ..we will see more posts with the same questions.

Ready for unlike for speaking out.
