To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Not a great deal for me because I love my $50 prepaid plan with T-Mobile. The lowest postpaid plan is about $70. The Essential Plan is $60 but rises to $70 which the Magenta Plan already is at a flat rate.

I did the math and I'm actually paying more for the 12 mini.

$20 x 24 = $480 + $365 = $845

Add the tax + extra charge of about $20-$30 at the store and I'm looking at another $80.

I'm good. I like the 12 mini but it's not worth it. I'm content with my $50 iPhone 7 in a 9/10 condition I got from Craigslist and my $80 second SE (2016) I got brand new from OfferUp.

I only use my iPhones as an iPod touch anyway. I prefer Android to blacklist calls and torrents. Why bother spending $845 in the long run when I love my $50 plan? Easy pass from me.

The better deal is getting that Samsung phone for "free" but I can't stand phones that big. And it's not really free as I'm stuck paying $20 more each month for the next 2 years which comes out to $480 and at least $200 more than retail. It's not a phone I'm really interested in.

I'm really not into looking to get another phone. I currently own 7 and I'm still using phones from 2016-2018. I just saw this ad yesterday and thought it was interesting. But once I did the math, it's just another way for T-Mobile to trap us for the next 2 years. And we lose the bill credits if we try to pay it all off.

If you love your $50 monthly bill, I suggest to stick to it. I've been following the mobile industry closely since 2004 during the flip phone revolution. Owned like 50 different phones. Phones have gotten stale. Same ol', same ol'. It's seeking thrills from something new or finding a bargain. I have to delete the OfferUp app sometimes to avoid that bargain hunting rush.

And we lose the bill credits if we try to pay it all off: How do you came up with this?

I am in the process of purchasing a house with a closing date at the end of the month. My loan officer said anything to do with EIP and TMobile to wait until after my loan close because they might run my credit. Anyone have any experience with T-Mobile running your credit for this promotion?

Stop trolling. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Not many deals on single line accounts postpaid. But there are for those than need more lines or could share a plan with some dependable. . .which brings about better subsidized phone deals as you add new lines, or trade, or to a lesser extent if you just upgrade. Your Mini is worth quite a bit if you are willing to add a line etc. but it's moot if you just want to stick with a single line plan

If you already have a postpaid account with T-Mobile then no there won't be an additional credit check

For most it will be what a $11.75 charge to account each month for 24 months, along with a $11.75 bill credit each month to cancel out the charge. Nothing down. Nothing out of pocket other than the tax upfront on the $265 or $285 or what ever it is.

For some with bad credit it might be say $75 down plus full tax upfront, monthly payments of $11.75 for the same 24 months, and then monthly credits for 24 months for not only the $11.75 per month as above but to spread out the $75 paid for as down payment as credits back over that 24 months as well.

Extreme cases of those with too many EIP's deals on their account level and "maxed out", , , full price plus taxes paid upfront. . .full price minus taxes given back over 24 monthly credits.

Edit: possible Sim and "assistance" charges not included. YMMV
Edit2: submission of working flip phone, smartphone, brick phone, etc. in working order (i.e. able to power up on it's own) and with out a cracked screen or water damage or blacklisted or say Apple lock enabled.

Was shopping in Costco today and the deal is valid until 4/22.

So end of 24 months? If I travel and want to use a SIM in a different country, would they still be unwilling to unlock it?
You can ask temporary unlock. If the rep is nice, he/she will submit a ticket for you and their offline team will unlock it. For iPhone, it will be permanent unlock as no temp unlock option.
Also, you need to wait for 2 or more billing cycles to submit the unlock request. My first unlock request got rejected as it's not hit 2 billing cycles yet. The 2nd one got approved as it's after 2 billing cycles. The phone got unlocked automatically after the unlock request got approved.

Costco offers are usually low profile i.e. less trade-in value for the same reason (it's prepaid card and not 24 months bill credit)!
If this deal is available in Costco as well (which I doubt it will) then nothing like it but mostly it won't be available and if at all it's available then they will (as usual) give less trade-in value...!
We will see on Sunday morning I guess!
On another note,
Can we "upgrade" for Samsung A32 in Costco as well? I mean do they carry this device and if yes, then here also same rules right? They will mention the old phone's IMEI on the Assurant rebate application and we will receive the full Samsung phone's value (minus the old phone's FAIR value) as prepaid rebate card, correct?
Costco can run two type of promotions. The one you mentioned is the Costco specific promos.
There is another option for Direct Delivery. As my experience, the phone price is same as T-Mobile. But it can be eligible to any T-Mobile promo (e.g. $830 credit for iPhone 12). You'll also get a $30 Costco cash card as bonus. They will print out trade-in shipping label and the trade-in device will be shipped to T-Mobile.

trade in iphone 7 for $415 without adding a new line for iPhone12 Pro? Sounds like a good deal except 24 months. But I have been using T-Mobile over 8 years. Do not mind use it for 2 years more
