To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Is the "- New info has been received about the free 5G phone upgrade. The promo isn't applicable for backorders. This means that if the phone is out of stock you can't get the promo, making this a sort of "while supplies last" type of deal." on the wiki still true or is it deprecated now? I saw some people saying they got ordered A32 even though it says it's on backorder currently
I am chatting with TMO for clarification of this agree may be deprecated info for sure as it is allowing to check out with back order too

Yet another T-Mobile propaganda to put you in chain for 24 months.
Although the value of Galaxy A32 is $280, so you can pay it off early if u want to.
The iPhone 12 deal for $400 not a great deal IMO.
Another option is the higher spec'd Samsung A51 5G that Metro has with port in pricing. I got one and it's impressive. Paid $99. and after 60 days they issue a $50. virtual Visa card. Corporate store charged me $60. plan, but they did wave the activation. So with taxes, I was out the door under $180. After month 2 and with the $50. Visa, I'm at roughly $130. This Metro model is also 5G with substantially higher spec's than the A32.

Correct. I have 4 existing lines. I did an upgrade for three, choosing "trade in a different device" for each one since I didn't want to replace those phones.

I had to do three separate orders and pay shipping and tax for each one.
thanks for the information! looks like there is no way to group the orders and save the shipping. oh well.

I'm curious if tmob will offer a different phone now that this is back ordered.
I'm still holding off on this for about a week. Made a bunch of changes with plan, lines and promos earlier this month, and I'm waiting for my new bill to settle in before I tack on another promo. Maybe by the time I'm ready, there will be another phone offered.

How were you able to add the A32 to the cart? THe only option I see on the product webpage is "Upgrade" or "Add a new line"

i just did this, swapped in an old j3 prime.

i chose upgrade, went through the screens, selected the j3 as trade in, 3 simple questions about condition. then payment, docusign and done.

nothing about back ordered and showed in stock at the place down the road but +20 extra for their 'help' in processing the order.

Same here. And it doesn't ask anything about trade in. Does that mean it assumes I'm trading in the active phone on that line. That's not what I want to do. I'm on Sprint also.

Just placed 4 orders on the T-Mobile app on my own account. Trading in old flip phones that meet the requirements. I've mailed hundreds of phones for customers since our store does not do instant trade in's and I have never seen any issues.

The only problems I've seen is when people try to scam the system by mailing something other then what we inspected in store. The trade in by mail process has a 0% chance of denying your trade in unless you are trying to fraud the system by lying about any of the 3 requirements.

To be honest the warehouses are going to be so backed up the liars might even get away with sending liquid damaged cracked screen phones. But yeah save yourself the $20 upgrade fee and up selling of accessories and features and 360 insurance. Some stores don't even ask you about insurance they just go ahead and add it and if you catch it later T-Mobile will remove it but a lot of people don't have time to look at their bill. They are so busy working like slaves they don't even have time to see that the rep added insurance on their bill or the free accessory wasn't actually free and they are paying couple of dollars a month for it.

Even the honest stores will shame you into buying accessories or try to figure out if you plan on buying insurance and accessories and if you hint on not buying anything they will just flat out lie to you that they couldn't find any more phones in stock in the back room.

Trust me they aren't doing it because they are evil. It's how they make commission. I've seen reps telling customers state law requires you to buy insurance but you can cancel it after 3 months. That's because they'll make their commission by then. The reps that refuse to defraud the customer don't last long and get replaced by the ones that are willing to sell their souls for a dollar. Don't let anyone tell you this doesn't happen in corporate stores. These tactics were invented and are still practiced in corporate stores.

Moral of the story is save yourself the headache and place your orders over the phone. T-Mobile pays moderators on Reddit to delete posts that reveal what goes on in stores so you won't find this information there. Maybe slickdeals will delete my post as well lol. But no seriously I love T-Mobile I was a customer even before I started working for retail but trust me when I say this. There's no difference between a T-Mobile store and a car stealership. Any commission based job will turn you into a liar and a crook. Just my 2 cents
Thank you for telling the truth. But as long as we have capitalism, this is not avoidable, so sad!

Ah cool. I'll try. Did you have the j3 from previously or did you buy it just to trade in?

I checked my account and still just shows Simple Choice and nothing changed. This is frustrating since I still don't know how to they are upgrading the 5g unlimited plan. I don't care too much about the device trade in, I care more about the plan and the future cost of the plan and how much I will be paying per month. Currently I am paying about 160 (plus 20 on EIP for 2 devices) for 7 lines. I want to maintain this monthly cost and have 5g unlimited. So far, I am not getting any confirmation anywhere. I will be heading to the store later to find out.
I am with you. Let's know what you find out from people at their store. Thanks

Yes it clearly says activation, not with an upgrade.
