To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Deal was better under Sprint - iPhone 12 free w/trade of iPhone8 or higher... upgraded 3 lines yesterday!

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Your plan will not change. You should just hopefully, magically have unlimited data on your lines now as has been reported by folks late yesterday.

(I'm surprised you already don't have unlimited data when they were upgrading all plans that had data stash a year ago.)
They haven't not done this for everyone last year, lot of folks are still on 2.5 GB or 4GB data plan.

We just upgraded a few lines to s21 with the launch promos, but I do have. Abunch of old phones laying around (lg g2, anyone?).

Not going anywhere, so I dont really care about bill credits. 3 lines have new s21 with credits already, can I use those to trade in the old phones (no intention to activate a32, just taking advantage of the offer and either keep as backups or sell)

I just checked at my Costco. So there is currently promo for $700 for the iphone 12 which I think was also on SD a few days ago, but you can't combine this offer with the 11 to 12 trade in. They said if you want to trade in 11 for 12 without opening a new line, you'd have to pay the full $830 price on the base 64GB model
Then there is no advantage buying from Costco.

The 2.5GB plan (which I was on myself, 4GB was a promotional upgrade of that 2.5GB plan) did not have data stash which is why it didn't qualify for that last wave of unlimited upgrades. Something about needing to get rid of the data stash due to it being an accounting issue which is why those free upgrades happened.

Go read the first post and possibly the wiki. All the info you need is laid out there.
If you're not already with tmo you need to add a line. Otherwise how would the. "If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due." Work? This is not going to be a good deal for those not already with t-mobile.

Do I miss something? I was asked to select a device for trade in and its IMEI number. But I cannot find my old phone in the device list. What am I missing?

I am trying to do upgrade over the app but it appears to ask the model of the phone I am trading in. Do I need to decide on this first before doing the upgrade? I was thinking of looking for a phone after I get the process in first so I don't miss out.
No. You need a phone now and need to input the IMEI number during checkout.

Besides the "Unlimited TradeUp" promotion for AT&T and Verizon customers that I'm not sure is even mentioned in this thread, this Un-carrier promotion is targeted for existing T-Mobile customers. All phone offers are meant to keep all of us a customer for at least 2 years.

If you're not with T-Mobile now, ignore this thread as there are always better phone deals for new customers who are opening new lines. If you don't plan on staying with T-Mobile for 2 years, skip this thread also.

I have a grandfathered plan. Getting this error when on the product page.

"Sorry, we're unable to process this request online as additional changes may be required for your account. Not to worry, one of our Experts will be happy to help. To complete this request, please contact Customer Care by calling 1-800-937-8997, or by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone."

Try to go through the Upgrade anything. Was given $3 for my phone. $3, not a typo. Seems to get stuck when I try to continue trade in.

Not sure if Govt discount was the reason? Hopefully data stash stays too. Repped
