To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Have a brand new iphone 11, used for less than a month. Should I trade it in for an iphone 12? If yes, why? If no, why? Any input is greatly appreciated
My logic is, if you will stay with T-Mo anyway for next 24 months then do it since it's basically free (plus taxes of course) upgrade for you (I mean 12 is better 11 right?)
The fair market value of 12 is surely way more than 11 (way more than that tax amount) in my opinion!

Taking the time to post this in case it helps anyone. I'm an existing T-Mobile customer with the Simple Choice North America 6GB Family Match plan and the free Unlimited High-Speed Included w/ 6GB Mobile Hotspot add-on. Two lines on the paid account with two free lines added on. I just finished ordering three Samsung Galaxy A32 5G phones. Saving a slot in case there's a better deal later. Plus, my wife didn't want an extra phone to mess with so might as well save on taxes.

It was a bit or an ordeal. Fourth time was the charm. First tried to upgrade without a CSR but the website didn't take my IMEI/MEID. My three old Boost Mobile Kyocera Hydro phones had MEID codes so I needed to escalate to a CSR. I initiated a customer care chat session using my PC and things were going well although the CSR was hitting me with the upgrade charge ($20 x 3) with the possibility of getting a bill credit later as he was going to request a waiver. He was also going to process each phone separately resulting in three shipping charges of $6.99. However, after going through the first phone, the CSR fell off the chat and just stopped responding. After waiting a while, I gave up on him and started a new customer care chat using my phone and got another CSR. He ran into some obstacles and wanted to try some different things before he also fell off the line like the first guy. Very frustrating. I decided to just call 611 this time and speak to a CSR the old‑fashioned way. Turned out to be the best way. He dealt with the MEID code issue without a hitch. This CSR was also very efficient and combined all three phones into one order resulting in just one shipping charge of $6.99. He also waived the $20 upgrade charge for each phone right off the bat. No need to wait for a bill credit down the line…or perhaps even have the request to waive denied. At the end I paid $87.36 for tax and shipping for all three phones. Had to put in some sweat equity but that's the way it works sometimes. Good luck to everyone working to get this.

By the way, the CSR told me a return shipping label would be in the box with the new phones, and I can reuse the same shipping box to send in my trade-in phones.
Nice! I was gonna turn in some windows phones but I got the same Kyocera Hydro Sprint phones from the $9.99 Target promo a while back... unfortunately I got like 5 of them phones lol

Wait, what page were you on? Were you selecting your carrier, phone model, etc...? If so, I think that's actually the wrong option. For the first drop down, there's this one option that says something like "5G promo" and if you select that, you don't need to put in the phone model and stuff, I think.

I have iPhone 6 plus and I am sad that it was not eligible for regular iPhone 12. I am not sure if it's a good deal to trade-in 6 plus for 12 mini. Do you guys think there will be another trade-in program for iPhone 6? I am using Tmobile anyway.
IMHO, there will be no other trade in promotion that will take the iPhone 6. It's amazing they're even accepting it for this promotion (seriously).

Oh, so that wasn't "free" free, it was a monthly billing credit "free"?
Damn... talk to them quickly and pay off the SE balance quickly so it moves to the a/c level before the A32 credit kicks in on that line!
How can you tell account vs line level promotions? My 2 phones show up as completed but still have the phone number attached to it.

ok,
I should have been clear !
Neither my iPhone-7 is being used not the new iPhone-12 or mini will be used, I just want to sell the new iPhone 12/mini to reduce the clutter and selling locked iPhone-7 is not a joke as we all know.
So,
the real Q is, form the selling point of view which one makes more sense? 12 or mini?
So you're trying to compare the market price of used 12 vs 12 mini (which is just an ebay search away) but perhaps also trying to understand market demand (hint: every news article denoting the mini as a "failure") and perhaps even residual value (the only real variable in play).

The iPhone 12 will be easier to sell without question, but a larger potential market also includes a larger number of sellers. Where things might get interesting in the next couple of upgrade rounds will be the residual value. I suspect the iPhone 12 mini will be held closer to the iPhone 12, rather than being immediately discounted akin to the iPhone SE.

As such, your incremental $100 investment in an iPhone 12 might net you incrementally, if fractionally more dollars (e.g. $20-30) and a quicker sale than with the comparable iPhone 12 mini model. However, you may discover that in the upcoming iPhone 13 trade-up round they're given the same valuation.

Good luck!

Yeah, you're beyond last chance for an iPhone 6 series. AT&T has had some offers (the S21 trade-in), but they're #3 so they should be expected to have the most generous trade-in options.

Though this year has shattered residual value expectations, holding onto an iPhone 6 or iPhone 7 much longer is a surprisingly risky endeavor (at least the iPhone 7 is more functional if not more valuable).

Good luck!
Jon

I did four EIP/Trade in promotions in the past three months. If you plan to do A32 promo, here are my experience.

1. At T-Mobile store. Pro is your get phone immediately and drop off your old phone there. You can ask sales rep to look at your old questionable phone. Con is you may need to pay $20 assisted and upgrade fee. You can try to get it waive but it is harder to get the fee waive with cheap phone.
2. At T-Mobile online store, you are likely need to pay for $6.99 shipping fee. Free 2 day promo is for new line only. Phone will be shipped to your home and you will need to ship your old phone. It is also not clear if the promotion would be applied to your order. Compared to physical store, you save $20-6.99=$13. This is actually my least favorite.
3. You can place order with TForce or in app chat. It is the same as online store but you will have easier time get $20 upgrade fee and shipping fee waived. I always started with I have problem with online store because I don't know if promotion will be applied. I also mention free shipping promo.
4. Costco. Costco offers all T-mobile's EIP promo. I talked to sales rep, he said EIP promo can be complicated. Some sales reps don't like to do it so they just tell you they don't offer. The phone will ship from Costco's own warehouse and the order will not show on your T-Mobile account. It is hard to track your order. You will get preprint label that you need to ship your old phone. You don't have to pay for shipping and upgrade fee. Costco also offers $30 rebate for every EIP.

I ordered once with TForce and once with in App chat. I would do it again if I have time to wait for them to respond.

I ordered twice with Costco without any problem. I would do it again if my old is in good condition. I like that I don't have to ask them to waive the fees and I am sure the promotion will be applied. I also got $30 cash rebate after 8 weeks.
I just got back from Costco and they tried to do this deal for me except the purchase amount was ~$1100 for the A32. The kiosk rep cancelled and redid the order from scratch 3x. I was there for an hour, waste of time. The kiosk rep just told me to try on the website instead.

The only thing I would've had to pay was tax. What a shame that going to Costco doesn't work.

TMo was giving $215 for that phone toward a new 12 mini at launch. I suspect this is as good it's going to get for trade-in values. That said, I'm not sure that paying $365+ shipping & tax for the 12 mini is such a great deal right now, it really depends on everyone's needs.

Yeah I selected the carrier, phone model, IMEI number. It's what I did earlier when I traded in my Galaxy S3. The next page is supposed ask 3 more questions, like if the phone is in working condition, etc. But with my Pantech phone, it didn't show any questions.

In fact, I just tried again with my Galaxy S5, and the next page shows the questions:

Did you pay off the balance of your phone? You should know if you did or not. "yes" = account level promotional credits; "no" = line level promotional credits. Only after you've paid off the EIP early will the promotional credits move to account level.

Edit: if your EIPs are completed, they are no longer receiving promotional credits and are done.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...al-credits

"If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."

I just got some message from Tmobile Twitter support and Tmobile over iphone. Each line can only have one device credit. You will lose the credits if you have a new device credit for trade in, even they are different promotions. Is that true? I am not on jump plan.
Actually not true, I have multiple credits going to one line

on 2 of my 4 lines, i have 11 Pro 512 GB not fully paid off yet and one line with XS 64 GB paid off. I would like to upgrade to another Iphone but even after $800 something for 11 pro and $400 something credit for XS, I still have to pay at least $300 to $700 charge for iphone 12 to 12 pro. What's the best upgrade I can do where I don't end up paying a lot after the trade in credit? Thanks

Quick question: Added a free line a few month back. Are the line qualified for a free Samsung Galaxy A32? TIA.

I have an iPhone 7 with a non-working fingerprint sensor. The home button works, just not TouchID.

Will they have a problem or even notice for the trade-in?
