To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I thought we are not allowed to pay it off early. Isn't this reason why they do 24 installment so they can keep us in a contract?
You can pay off your phone early, you will only lose out of your credit if you decide to cancel your service within 24 months

Did you pay off the balance of your phone? You should know if you did or not. "yes" = account level promotional credits; "no" = line level promotional credits. Only after you've paid off the EIP early will the promotional credits move to account level.

Edit: if your EIPs are completed, they are no longer receiving promotional credits and are done.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...al-credits

"If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."
They're paid off but I'm on credit 8 of 24 currently. I'm sure it's fine, but I just want to figure out how it shows on the site. Plus, customer support refers to the credits with different terms to add to the confusion . Pic related.

Random question.

I want to upgrade my son to the iPhone 12 as a surprise. Is he going to get a bunch of texts on his line saying the order has been submitted, trade in info, stuff like that to ruin any surprise?

I don't see why not

Not positive but probably if your kid is smart enough to figure it out. I did the upgrade for my mom and she got a text saying that her number got activated on another phone or something along those lines.

on 2 of my 4 lines, i have 11 Pro 512 GB not fully paid off yet and one line with XS 64 GB paid off. I would like to upgrade to another Iphone but even after $800 something for 11 pro and $400 something credit for XS, I still have to pay at least $300 to $700 charge for iphone 12 to 12 pro. What's the best upgrade I can do where I don't end up paying a lot after the trade in credit? Thanks
Make sure to check if iPhone 11 Pro 512gb is eligible for trade in. T-Mobile does not accept some higher end models for some strange reason.

I have couple of old phones from Sprint and I keep people saying it need IMEI. One of my phone only has HEX and DEC. Is this ok to trade in?

Is there a prepaid label with tracking number when I receive new phone for me to send old phone?

I have an iPhone 7 with a non-working fingerprint sensor. The home button works, just not TouchID.

Will they have a problem or even notice for the trade-in?
Same question I have. But my home button dosent even work, however I will get it fixed before trading. Touch ID I dont think will work.

From what has been posted here that can only be done thru the phone 611 since there is no IMEI on those CDMA phones.

On the page it says: "And these aren't short-term promos. The Great Free 5G Phone Upgrade and Great Unlimited Trade-Up start April 18 and last all year long. Welcome to the year of 5G!"
So it doesn't sound like the deadline will be til the end of the year.
It's so they can get any 2g/3g devices out of circulation prior to shutting those networks down. Plus bring in any new customers who may have been using older phones as well.

I have only one tmo line I use an S20 on. Just got the A32 as a backup. So do I need to pop my existing line SIM into the A32 at all, or is it fine never even using it and I'll still get the monthly EIP credits?

I used my son's line to get the A32 and both he and I got a couple of text messages too. Maybe you can use another line to order it if you have one

I was waiting until tomorrow (19th) to get the phones, but then I saw the phones were already available. My first store was OOS but my second store had 2x phones for my old nokia and blackberry tradeins. it was pretty painless, and I used the tmobile chat to request a refund on the $20 per line charge for doing it in the store. Glad I saw this thread to see they had started the phone promo early.
