To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I'm guessing most buying this Galaxy A32 5G aren't thinking about the trade off a two year commitment. This phone alone is relatively low in value for a that purpose. The reason why this deal is so popular is that it is available to existing T-Mobile customers. Folks who are already happy with T-Mobile for their service and are already paying customers. We usually don't get any major "perks" as most free phone offers are intended to lure new customers or have a add-a-line requirement. (That being said, T-Mobile has been giving existing customers amazing perks like the many recent free line offers so that "no perks" statement is wrong and why many of us have no intentions of leaving T-Mobile.)

So with this Un-carrier promotion, T-Mobile is effectively giving existing customers a free 5G phone. That's how I see it when I bought my 4. Two year commitment isn't an issue because I've been with T-Mobile for years and will continue for many more years as I can't see how AT&T or Verizon could come close to matching what I have and pay with T-Mobile. For the rest of you who don't have an amazing T-Mobile plan and can get better cell phone rates with another carrier, this phone alone isn't enticing enough to stay with T-Mobile for two years.
Yes we all know that and 95% of the folks here are like you, with cheap family plan paying less than $25/line for unlimited TTD !
The remaining 5% are the whining folks who just want to scam T-Mo by signing up collect the device and run away which won't work in this case due to 24 months credit and that's why they are so sore...lol
We 95% of the folks are very happy since we are getting great trade-in values for crappy phones WITHOUT adding any line any premium service and are already on T-Mo due to cheap avg $/line in the family anyway!!!

I don't think anybody is actually planning to open a new line/account just for this deal, that would be a foolish investment !

The street value of this thing is going to drop like a rock. Not worth it IMHO to burn potential future deals on better phones. My 4 year old Samsung A5 blows this thing away on performance and capability, except for 5G (which I've turned off on my S21 due to accellerated battery depletion) and onboard storage.

BTW,
from the trade-in value point of view, what would you guys do if you have an iPhone-7 (locked) and an iPhone-11 (64GB) for trade-in?
iPhone-11 gives full 830 credit while iPhone-7 gives 415 credit !

Any suggestions?
Or do BOTH?...lol

Yeah, those people just want the phone so they can sell it but whine like babies because T-Mobile caught on. Kinda sad that those people exist when you think about it.

"How does it work? Simple! Trade in your existing mobile phone, and T-Mobile will give you a brand-spanking-new, Samsung Galaxy A32 5G smartphone for free, exclusive to T-Mobile postpaid customers. This offer applies to new and existing customers, and ANY old phone in working condition — flip phone, Sidekick, whatever that suitcase phone was called. T-Mobile will take it. And in exchange, you get a free 5G smartphone after 24 monthly bill credits and pay only the sales tax."

I don't understand your thinking...!!!
Even kids know that this "trade-in a flip phone" will NEVER come back again so there is no "burning potential trade-in deals" as far as these paperweights are concerned !
As for the future promos on the same lines? We all know that once we pay off the A32 early, the RDC will move to the a/c level and we can jump on new device promos on the same lines whenever we want... ;-)

If you guys are using the iPhone to check the data usage status, unlimited in this case is very vague. Technically every plan has unlimited data, even prior to the supposedly free unlimited 5G upgrade. What you really want is unlimited high speed. With those on limited high speed data, after the limited high speed data is used up it throttles it to 2G speed. Yeah the data is still unlimited, just not at high speed. I haven't heard from BJFish, I remember he said his lines were not capped for high speed past his usual 4GB quota, is that still the case now? I guess you guys will have to wait and find out. I myself have 2 lines that "should" get the free unlimited high speed upgrade but I can't check because I have the default 10GB LTE data as part of my plan and the elder family members who use them use like 0.5GB a month, lol, I'll have to get them to just watch HD videos nonstop to find out if it's throttled past 10GB. So if I don't get the free upgrade today, I won't be totally bummed out. I oniy need to get it on the one line I was paying $15 to get unlimited high speed data and that's done so I'm happy
It's really easy to check. My data plan still shows that I only have 4GB but I'm guessing what they meant with the new unlimited data is you'll be getting 5G/4G now instead of the lower speeds that 3G offered. All you have to do is speedtest your mobile connection by going to speedtest.net. Then use up all of your data and check speedtest again after to see if the speed is the same. For me, it is so I am assuming that it is unlimited 4G/5G depending on what your phone can use.

I understand the sentiment but there aren't usually deals for better phones for existing customers on existing lines. So the chance of a future deal showing up is little to none. And if T-Mobile does decide to give their existing customers an even better deal for a phone, just pay off any remaining EIP balance, continue to get the rest of the $282 in bill credits, and take part in that new deal. Getting this free phone (via tying an EIP to a line for 2 years) really doesn't preclude getting any other phone in the future if that were somehow magically offered again. So I'll take my free phone now and take any other free/better phone they offer to us within the next two years also!

If you really believe your Galaxy A5 blows the A32 away on performance and capability, that's great. Peace

My line also shows 0.8GB out of 2GB when I check online in my account. But I chatted with t-mobile and csr shows it says "0.8GB out of unlimited" on their end.

Does that mean my line is already upgraded to the unlimited promo even though it is showing 2GB when I check my account details online myself?
I have a similar plan and I called and asked the rep. At first, he said my plan had not been updated, so I asked him to check actual usage and it showed unlimited. I also have 5gb of hotspot per line which I never had.

As to those who question the valuee of the A32 phone versus the 2 year commitment - I have 8 lines. Of those lines I have 2 kids and 3 grandparents. Phones break and go missing. I would rather have them lose one of these and than an $800 iPhone.

Go to your Account tab, click on any line from your family, then scroll to the bottom and click "My Promotions" link !
Or you can directly go to https://www.t-mobile.com/account/promotions
This shows you all active Device as Service (e.g. "Line on Us" etc...) promotions !
I have attached the screenshot showing some credits at the a/c level even after I hve paid off those devices fully !
Can you have 2 A32 on same line ?
