To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I did the phone XR trade in for $415 credit. I have not received any mailing instructions yet (it's been a week since I got the new phone). Anyone know if that's online somewhere?

Can you have 2 A32 on same line ?
Ahh... now THAT is a very genuine Q...lol
I am not sure, I know the a/c limit is 4 but doing the same promo on the same line?
That's tricky and I think your should confirm with Cust care, not believe folks here !
But the real issue is, you should NEVER pay off the device until your EIP and credits start on the a/c i.e. at least 1st bill reflects that.
Since this promo started just 2 days ago, why are we talking about this so soon?
Wait for the 1st bill, make sure everything is in place, take screenshots of RDC page, confirm with cust care if you can pay it off and start the same promo on the same line...

umm. just realized there are various A32 versions...

this A32 5g is actually more of a watered down version of A32...
6.5" TFT 720x1600 vs 6.4" 90 hertz Amoled 1080 x 2400
64gb vs 128gb storage
48mp vs 64mp camera
7nm cpu vs 12nm cpu

is this phone actually worth the 24 month commitment?
Agree with all three comparisons except a smaller nm chip is usually better, right? The 7nm chip should be more power efficient. I think this phone is designed for more power efficiency because I read 5G drains battery faster.

I understand the sentiment but there aren't usually deals for better phones for existing customers on existing lines. So the chance of a future deal showing up is little to none. And if T-Mobile does decide to give their existing customers an even better deal for a phone, just pay off any remaining EIP balance, continue to get the rest of the $282 in bill credits, and take part in that new deal. Getting this free phone (via tying an EIP to a line for 2 years) really doesn't preclude getting any other phone in the future if that were somehow magically offered again. So I'll take my free phone now and take any other free/better phone they offer to us within the next two years also!

If you really believe your Galaxy A5 blows the A32 away on performance and capability, that's great. Peace
I love your response. Don't get people hating this deal because it's bill credits and it's not iPhone 12. Free is free ( not technically, but you get it ). As you said, better deal in the future pops up, simply pay it off and move on. You will still keep receiving your bill credits on an account level as long as you keep your line active. It will also reduce your bill by $11.

Thanks OP. Went to the store on sunday afternoon (Orange County Fullerton) to be greeted by 4 employees and an empty store. We traded in our iphone 11 128GB for iphone 12 pro 128 (blue) and iphone 12 64gb (red). We also traded in 2 of our samsung S3s. The clerk inspected all 4 phones and cleared them for trade ins. They transferred all data, factory reset all phones, and took the phones to mail themselves. It was a painless transactions. We didnt get charged for any of the phones. I guess when you go to the store, the price of the new and old phones would offset and we just need to pay the tax and the difference (for the 12 pro upgrade) on the monthly bill across 24 months.

Your 6s itself is only valued at $10. And you can only trade it in for half off ($365) an iPhone 12 Mini. Check out the first post which shows that the 6S does not qualify for the iPhone 12 promotion. If you do trade it in for the iPhone Mini, you will get the full promotional credit $365 ($10 for the value of the trade-in and the balance of $355 from the promotion).

The $415 value for the XR is for the iPhone 12 promotion which the 6S doesn't qualify for. Even the XR will be valued at something less (say $200 as an example) but the entire $415 promotional credit will get applied.

It's rare to get decent upgrade deals, let alone be able to upgrade phone on a free line.

Last month was an exception that T-Mo allowed a free line and phone promo on the same but it was still adding a new line and not an upgrade. I did have to port to get a free 12 after trade-in.

For those who are already committed and have paid off phones in free lines, this is the time to free them up (possibly keep for future promos or even sell them) and replace them with this A32 while disposing age old phones.

At some level I honestly don't really care about those posters themselves; they can believe they know better and it doesn't affect me any. There's just a lot of other people here reading this thread that could benefit from a semi-neutral, hopefully educated, semi-respectful reply to ridiculous posts. Four year old Galaxy A5 blowing away the Galaxy A32 LMAO.

So when they clear it, it's just a matter of mailing it in? no further inspection is needed?

Go to your Account tab, click on any line from your family, then scroll to the bottom and click "My Promotions" link !
Or you can directly go to https://www.t-mobile.com/account/promotions
This shows you all active Device as Service (e.g. "Line on Us" etc...) promotions !
I have attached the screenshot showing some credits at the a/c level even after I hve paid off those devices fully !
I'm looking at your screenshot, and because of the redaction, I can't tell - are there multiple promotions attached to the same phone number (is that what you're trying to show?) Here's my screenshot - 2 lines are paid off, but they still show under each phone number, so I can't tell for sure if they are accound level or not.

How strict are stores when checking for screen damage? I have an old iphone 5 that has a small crack on the face but it's not on the actual screen area, doesn't go across the entire face, and doesn't affect function in any way.

I am trying to avoid more and more lines going through 24 months commitment 😀 specifically when I know it's possible to have 2 separate phone promotions on same line as I have that for my multiple lines but not same promo on same line Smilie worst case I know in the future I can make additional payment (even that is not require unless you are trading in the phone under EIP) for any new deals

Regarding getting 2 EIP promos on one line (after paying off the older phone in EIP and then purchasing a new one), it was mentioned a lot of times here that the older promotional credit will go to the account level. My question is, would tmobile then have to modify the account, potentially screwing all the promotions tied to the account (as in my case I have TMobile One 3 lines with kickback)?
