To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

A Tuesday the 20th experience:

I went into a store to trade my old S1 in physically, being worried about a mail-in rejection that would leave me stuck with full price on the A32. Guy in the store rejected it for wear and tear scratches on the screen that would just *barely* catch a fingernail. I went to another store, front guy said ok, back room guy said ok, and they took it . They started the swap process and then determined it would still require me to mail it in from home. Keep in mind, doing this in-store adds a $20 human assistance fee.

So I stopped them, got my phone back, and went through the process at home. I'm still concerned about some hyper technical rejection of the phone for whatever reason, but I'm a long time (18 years) T-Mo'er and can usually get some slack when I complain hard enough. The mail-in accept/reject occurs after the new phone arrives. Which means it'll be in use and then have some reject notice muck everything up.

Seems overall like a kind of mail-in rebate, sucker you in thing. We'll see.
You should just have gone through the process at the 2nd store and pay $20. Mainly because your tradein is not 100% guaranteed to be approved, given they rejected it at the 1st store. If you do the online order just to save $20 and they don't approve it at the receive processing site you will wish you had gone through the 2nd store since they already approved it there on the spot. And the $20 processing fee, you can always try to get T-Mobile to credit it back.

Most likely they played you.
The promo is clear. ANY phone (regardless of age), as long as turn on, not wet, and no screen damage.

TM don't expect the trade in phones to be pristine. It's expected to get old phones!

..

that's odd, all my past trade-ins & they took it on the spot unless they changed the policy not to accept in-store. Was thinking to do it-store. will have to re-think now.

Does anyone know if you can trade 4 phones with only 2 lines in the act? Ty
The consensus would be only one active promotional credit per line but take a look at V.I.P.'s posts below and see if you're willing to take that chance:

There are T-Mobile stores that have taken old phones as trade ins directly in the store for this A32 5G promotion. So the it's not some new global policy but an issue with the specific store or specific reps.

Store sucked.

I mention that I was trying to do online but looking to avoid shipping for the A32. Dude went to pull up my account and had to order since they didn't have it in store. I said I won't mind waiting (same online anyway w/o fee) and they said instore will have a $20 fee that they can't waive. So stupid.
You can chat via fb ask the rep waived the shipping fee

Have the deal terms changed for the free A32 5G?

The first bullet point for the deal says:

"Join T-Mobile and add a new line of service on an eligible plan."

Does this now require adding a line?

No terms have changed so no add a line required. Whatever you're looking at isn't this deal. Take look at the link below for "2021 Samsung P7" for details:

Does the new phone needs to be shipped to qualify $30?
No.

I just called my costco and they said their warehouse is out of stock on the A32 so they can't do the deals. Costco does not have an option to order out of stock items.

For those of you that submitted your trade-in online for the A32 5G, did you get anything in the supporting documents that mentions the promotion? I saw it in my shopping cart page that I qualified, and I saved a screenshot, but no where in any of the EIP documents or order "receipt" does it show the promotion like someone else mentioned.

I should also mention, when I ordered, the estimated ship date was 4/23-4/29, so the phone hasn't actually shipped out yet, and I don't see anything yet under EIP or my promotions in my online account.

Strangely, though, under account history activity, I see an entry for order placed, but at the exact same time, another entry called "Lease Return - Your device has shipped, don't forget to return your old device within 30 days to have your lease forgiven" which I don't understand but seems like might be a generic auto-generated message for trade-ins.

I was afraid of the same thing, so i did do it at the store, and with another SDer confirming with me that as long as the store rep cleared it, then i'm good, by the way, they didn't charge me shiopping fees, so it was only the tax and $20 support charge. Indirectly, that's just $13 for peace of mind. thank you for posing these, and provided the logic, great stuff!

You get the $158 in one lump credit, and then get the remainder (415-158)/24 over the next two years
