That means you have a 5G compatible sim. I had to swap mine with the one that came with the Samsung S21 because my old sim is 4 years old. All depends how old your existing sim is.

I know I'm going to have to swap sim for my family members when they get the iPhone 12 because they've been using their old sim for at least 4 years. I usually try to save the sim that comes with a new phone because you save $10 by using it if you open a new line or need a replacement sim in the future
If your SIM card says "R15" then it's the newer one which supports 5G !

Ok this is the better answer Smilie

All my family lines have sim at least 4 years old so they're definitely not the R15

I was confused when I saw R15 mentioned here the first time. I thought it was the "non-legal" RSim used to unlock a locked iPhone. I'm actually using that on a 2020 iPhone SE (locked to Cricket) to allow a family to use the phone on T-Mobile, works great, he just can't do a factory reset or else it may stop working. Only paid $100 for that iPhone SE 2K Smilie

For those still on Sprint and ordered the A32, did it come with a Sprint SIM card or must you use a T-Mobile SIM card?

I believe my sim card is from 2016. It's definitely not 5G compatible. On all my family lines when we got new phones we just plopped the old sim in. I don't know what sim came with your iPhone 8. I couldnt use my old sim to get 5G on my S21 until I did a sim swap with the one that came with the S21.

I don't see CDMA on the specs for the A32. ====> "NETWORKTechnologyGSM / HSPA / LTE / 5G"
Are you sure it will work on Redpocket?

A32 doesn't have CDMA but US version A32 5G has CDMA.

Changing my iphone 11 for an iphone 12! Love T-mobile! Skipped Costco. I hate the kiosk there it takes forever unless you are doing something super straightforward.

You can do it online. Once you log into your account, there's a "Change SIM" under "I Want To ..." in the desktop browser.

How are they shipping these things, FedEx, UPS?
I am assuming you have to sign for them as well?
For what it's worth my shipping estimate shows,
05/04/2021 - 05/10/2021

I have a couple of 7-9 day trips coming up and trying to figure out what my options are.

I don't mind picking them up if they hold them just don't want them getting sent back.

I unlock phone all the time to give it to my family members in Asia as gift .I personally don't do it except for when T-Mobile does it for me or when those pros do it for me. I know what the question was and I recently saw many videos on YouTube about unlocking phones so they could use on different network or carriers . I think you don't understand anything .
