OK. so I did the trade in and got the new a32 phones in the mail.
I was doing the reset on the old phones today. Turns out one of the phones powers up but that's all it does. It is stuck on the first screen with the brand name logo. Does not power up all the way to the home screen. Am I still able to do the trade-in and if not what are the alternatives? Can I return the new A32 to a tmobile store or alternatively substitute this old phone for another one?
Best would be to ask t-force,and if possible let others know.

THanks.

I was in the same boat. Searched on Amazon and ebay then settled on these 2 cases (I got another a32 coming):
Both are less than $8 and come with front screen protectors but I will probably skip since this is such a cheap phone.

1) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08PNZG4V5 - a bit bulkier but rugged case with pop-out ring. I like thin cases but I can get used to this one. It's as thin as can be for a rugged case. Good compromise.

2) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08SG8G1TQ - your basic, thin case. Does the job while looking decent.

Other suggestions welcomed. I might get a 3rd phone for family members.

I was expecting a crappy, low-end phone but, while the screen sucks vs OLED panels, it's not that bad. I watched YouTube videos for 30 mins and it works pretty well. Didn't feel much different vs my S10+ and even my wife's Note 20 Ultra. Love that they kept the headphone jack. It's the reason I haven't upgraded.

Like I said in another post, I only ask because a couple people said you could do that. I have 4 lines, I just don't want to activate the phone right now on all 4 lines. I'm sure you would turn down a free phone if offered! lol
You need 1 line to upgrade/trade-in 1 phone !
I think that's fair otherwise how will T-Mo make sure you don't cancel that "line" right after you receive the phone if it's NOT attached to a "line"?
BTW, by "attached" means you just need to assign each phone to a line, that doesn't mean you actually have to activate the phone on THAT line, you can simply keep it in the drawer if you wish, they wouldn't care less as long as that "attached" line is active (being paid for)!

Don't worry about all the haters here.

What those other posters didn't mention is that you need to try at 17 different physical stores, at least 9 being corporate stores, and then you'll be able to get free A71's without having to link to a line. So don't give up and keep going in.

Wink
What ?
A71 for free ?

What is your logic? To get the phone for "Free" you need to activate or maintain a TMO line, keep it active for 24 months, and receive the $11.75 bill credits on said same line for 24 months to cancel out the monthly same $11.75 charged to account for that A32. Plus any functioning phone without screen or water damage to trade in to initiate this promo. Just like the other fool that went with your logic. . .it's not an open offer to trade in a $5 or less valued flip phone for a $282 retail phone with no other obligations to complete the deal. Ridiculous logic. . . .if that were the case, this would be the most popular thread. . .EVER. Would make the HP Touch infamous thread look like a dwarf. . .

EDIT: what else wasn't mentioned by your logic is. . .that 17th or 18th store that finally "promised" you free phones without service. . .well guess what. . .they are not qualified to do such. And unlike an "error of offers" regarding service offers which could be rectified through showing the transcripts. . .you have no service related to that phone deal with related active line. . .meaning they will charge you full MSRP for those phones you mentioned, and without recourse from you. . .tread lightly

EDIT 2: so I'm wondering if 16 store inquiries wouldn't do the trick vs your 17? How about 8 Corporate stores instead???? Lol
