I would say it's been a lateral move going from the 3A to the A32. Not a downgrade but certainly not an upgrade. Performance is the same for the most part; UI can see some slow downs but 5G is nice. Camera is the same, if not a little better with the extra lenses. Having the Samsung features is nice (Knox, Mirecast, microSD, etc.) but I miss the Google features, most of all free Unlimited Photo uploads. The larger battery has been useful and the bigger screen is nice but you notice the lack of pixels (720p vs 1080p).
Personally, I would have not made the switch if I wasn't forced to as it's been a meh experience overall. Samsung has promised regular updates for 2-3 years and this phone did come with Android 11 out the gate so we'll see how it holds up.
If you have a Pixel 3, it will most likely be a downgrade for you...

5G, and Android 11 vs Android 9. It's an upgrade.
