Thanks for clearing that up.. and yea it is not a deal I need.. Seems to me the last time I bought memory was 16gb of pc3200 for like $75.. It is now over $100 for 16gb! at BB so maybe not a bad price if you need it and you have rewards.

I have never bought the fancy lighted sticks before. Do you need anything special to activate the lights? Will it coexist with non lighted sticks?

Nothing special needed except the software to controller it. Usually unique to every manufacture, in this case it would be Corsair iCue. The lights are just an added "bonus" and do nothing different than regular sticks of RAM. So yes you can mix and match RGB sticks with non RGB ones.
