There is an ongoing lawsuit against TRESemme (among other brands) for the inclusion of DMDM hydantoin, which is a preservative that slowly releases formaldehyde as a reaction with water. This ingredient has potentially been responsible for mild burning or hair loss.

That said, these products no longer contain DMDM hydantoin - I have purchased it recently and confirm that it has been removed (while I have an older bottle in a cabinet that does contain the ingredient).

You may want to check your ingredients to see if you received any of the older product. If so, you should be able to swap it out.

I purchased a huge order the last time there was a deal. I started losing my hair significantly and discovered it was this shampoo and conditioner. Switched out to something else and hair loss almost stopped overnight. I thought I was going crazy for a while.. I'm sure diet and other things had a factor but I got kind of scared and just letting others know. I've used this shampoo/conditioner combo for over 10 years and never had a problem until that batch.

In for 1 to try! Any conditioner that I use in the shower that has to be rinsed does not work for me. I've even tried the argan oil hair mask.
The leave-in conditioners seem to work better.
