Only hindering is the 300 nit display but if you can go over that this can be the best laptop for college students, IT professionals, Software engineers or your average Grandmother.'

Extra points for the readily available components and easily repairable parts. Right to repair baby!

Based on that, the 8gb itself is not removable and therefore not upgradeable. He's saying it has an empty slot though, into which you could put an additional SODIMM, so overall the RAM is upgradeable.

My Ryzen 3600x can't handle 4K editing without proxy, so I am pretty sure this 4c8t Cpu would not handle 4K directly, most likely proxy files but 256gb SSD would be another issue. So I guess 1080p maybe 2k the most if you do not wanna use proxy files. FYI I use davinci resolve

Certainly not the best deal I've ever seen but none of us have time machines and in the current climate this is a deal. For someone looking for a combination of portability and build quality and decent (if not amazing) specs, this is solid.

proxy files... you mean virtual memory? would 3700x 8c/16t make a difference, if i ever decide to go with desktop. i really want a laptop. looking into future 5800u if we ever see it. or 5900h

Quadro is a better line for graphic design than cards designed for gamers are.
