How to cash out Visa prepaid Gift Cards (Debit Cards)

Hey all, I have a Visa Gift card that I'd like get the cash for. I tried a Walmart Money Order but they wouldnt take a gift card, it must have my name on it that can match an ID. Any other options? Would rather get the cash than spending it slowly.

It would help to know which one this is... some debit cards can be added as "Cash" to Apple Cash (assuming you can get to an apple device - yours or a family member's or a trustable friend).

The other option is to pre-pay your phone/internet /gas/electric bill and clean up the card.

Another option is to use to buy store gift cards for future use.

In the past I have taken rebate cards to the bank and just taken the cash off of them. You have to know exactly how much is on it, tell them it's a pre-paid debit card, and they can run it through the system and give you the cash or deposit it to your account.

I don't know if that's still an option. I hope so because I just got one and I will try it this coming week.

So this does still work at the credit union that I went to. I just went in and told them I have a prepaid debit card that I want to take the cash off of. The teller told me as long as my name is on the card they can do it. She took the cash off and deposited it to my checking account.

I just buy Amazon gift cards. Not cash but since I'm always buying stuff on Amazon it's as good as cash to me.

Link it to your PayPal, send someone a PayPal and have them send it back then you can use your paypal cash card to get cash at ATM or pos purchase.

Amazon seems to have stopped the 50 cents one...unless I missed the link?


someone said 'cleavepay' but I've never heard of it.

I just got a 50 cents and 75 cents visa debt rebate and I'm not sure how to cash those out. Any tips would be great.
