Not worth revisiting 2020 to save $5, hell I wouldn't go back to 2020 for $1,000

The in-house rubber sole compound that Columbia makes is not grippy enough and I think dangerous on wet or damp rocks. It sucks that they changed from vibram to this omni crap. A lot of other companies did the same such as Merrell with the M select, or new balance, with their lower priced options. Now it seems only the more expensive options have vibram soles.

They have wide sizes. The Moabs from the other day didn't have wide so I'll give these a try as my old ones have had it.

Will never understand why they don't make hiking shoes look like more normal athletic/running shoes with a bottom for hiking traction.

They do, their called trail or cross running shoes

Salomon also has semi athletic hiking shoes in the actual category. It comes down to durability that is wanted for hiking vs running. Most are darker colors since people hike in dirt and mud.

i usually hate buying shoes without trying on but oh well good deal for a backup hiking/walking shoe. I have been averaging 10 miles a day so i go through shoes quickly. Thanks for posting
