OG Focal Clear - price dropped with new MG version. Reviewers are torn over the difference better or worse of the new vs old. Other retailers still selling it at $1499
FYI. Clicked on the link earlier today. Then within the past 30 minutes, I got an e-mail from Paypal saying I get $30 off at Headphones.com if I pay via Paypal.
If you're not in any rush, try this... YMMV if you get the same e-mail that I did.
FWIW, I clicked on the SD link almost the moment it went live since I have a deal alert, so I'd guess that it took about eight hours to get the e-mail.
For anyone who owns this headphone, how comfortable is it? Would it be something you would wear 6-8 hours a day during work, or is it more suitable for 0.5-1 hour entertaining music?

It's very comfortable. I can wear ~6hrs everyday with no issues. The mileage may vary but you get the gist.
Seriously tempted to buy a backup pair. This is my favorite headphone to date. It's paired with topping A90/D90/tidal and I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm going to try and demo their new items locally.
Gonna derail for a minute here for anyone familiar with focal speakers, has anyone heard the kanta or aria in person? Obv sound demos over YT are trash, but man they sound so airy. The clear headphones are neutral to me, maybe slightly bright, but it just sounds accurate. Listening to a sound demo of kantas today reminded me of when I first heard kef ls50. It felt as if every sound had someone breathing behind it all. Sounds super unnatural to me, but I understand some people enjoy that. Would love to get a pair of focal speakers that sound like the clear headphones. Currently 7.2.4 svs ultra setup but I miss the, forgive the innuendo, clarity of the clears

I have the elegia and they are extremely comfortable at the part that seats around the ear, however they are pretty heavy. I use them for gaming so I have gone hours with them on, but they might be better if they were lighter, but they have a strong build.
Ah man, I like my Focal Elegias so much im tempted to buy these, especially since they are open back. However should I get these or the Hifimans that go on sale for 650$?]

I wonder if Focal is trying to get rid of these because of the new Clear MGs....
Headphones.com placed a special order with Focal to produce a "last" batch to sell at this price. That is the pre-order.
