Saw 2 in stock in my area in NY, so I went to the store and they weren't on display. Went up to register and it seemed like the supervisor knew exactly the model and size I was looking for, and went to the back and retrieved it for me.

My guess is an employee is trying to keep it for themselves... but I left one for them

Just aheads up for people buying to resell, its not worth it
Its worth it if you want to use as an external drive in an enclosure or for an old laptop

For some reason the cashier did an overdose and it took another $3 off so it was just $3 and some change after tax.

Isn't a 120GB SSD about as useful as say, a floppy drive?
I guess you could run your OS on that, but not much more.
Going to run this with the USB controller from my shucked WD external as a boot drive for my Raspberry PI running Home Assistant.

Only 120gb, what do you use it for?
You can run them in RAID if you got the room in your case. Most new motherboards in the last 10 years have RAID capabilities.

Lol, I'm a teacher and felt like I had to justify not giving 5 dollars by telling the cashier that I was an educator. I'm trying to build a pc from cheap or free parts so this was a great deal for me!

Did a order for 2 staples stores in Vegas. 1 order was canceled and the other was ready to pick up within minutes. Asked to do a price check and came out to clearance price. Canceled the online order and bought it in store. Also used $10 off $20 coupon I got via Text a few days ago.

Yes, that's the idea - OS on its own SSD. I think I might even have a 64gb ssd running Windows 10 that I installed back in 2015 (also has 3TB worth of HDD). Computer still runs just fine, runs AoE II: DE, PUBG, Valheim.

OS on its own drive makes it that much easier when you want to do a clean install or jump between systems, imo. 120GB is plenty as OS, you will need additional drives and need to know to change install path of large programs from C:\ (OS) to a secondary drive.
