Saw 2 in stock in my area in NY, so I went to the store and they weren't on display. Went up to register and it seemed like the supervisor knew exactly the model and size I was looking for, and went to the back and retrieved it for me.

My guess is an employee is trying to keep it for themselves... but I left one for them

Success! Scored 2 in Summerville SC. Anyone local to the area check out the other locations. Online price was 24.99 and when the sales person scanned it his eyes popped wide open. Then I told him all about Slickdeals and we traded great deal stories for a few minutes.

Wait, how do I know if they're offering this price in store? The staples near me definitely has it. But it's showing a higher price.

No migration app. Buy a Samsung 240 for 40bucks includes migration app. But if you are not migrating stuff this is almost a free upgrade for your device.

Will I brick this or put myself at risk if I used this as an external for keeping my.......home videos?
Not if you lock it in a safe, bury it in your backyard and swallow the key

Aren't there several free options to clone a hard drive if that's the route you want to take? But, I would think a fresh install would be better anyway

I found not one reliable migration app. Only the acronis app is 40 bucks. So I bought Samsung which includes the app.

Stopped by a store this morning that was showing 4 in stock. Had to ask an associate since they had none on the shelf and no tag for it. They went in the store room and came back with 2 at this SD price.

You can make this as your OS boot drive and keep the data on another old HD.
You could do that. The best use for these mlc nand drive is endurance write, ie cache and tasks that require a lot of writes. An 120gb mlc nand drive can last over 125tb of writes. My ozc 120gb mlc drive have over 70tb of writes and still have 56% life left.

The cheap drives that coming out these days won't last long. 100 writed per cell todays nand vs 5000 writed per cell mlc nand.

Worked for me. Staples website was accurate about availability at my local store. I asked for one and they got them from the back since they aren't on the shelf and they rang up at the clearance price. Another score, thanks OP and SD!

This deal is a NO GO. In Los Angeles. Went to 2 different stores and the clerks looked at me like I was crazy.
