Price dropped today. Seems to get mixed reviews, but it can't be worse than the Dynalink box from Walmart.

I've been a fan of TiVo products, but do not recommend this product. My live TV through YouTube TV regularly freezes and the TiVo home screen launcher has periods of unreliability. My Chromecast with Google TV has been much better.
Does the Stream allow you to see and play DVR shows on your traditional TiVo boxes?
Have several TiVo Dvrs but the channel selection sucks for streaming on the traditional boxes. Got a few Roku ultras and they are way faster with better channel selection than the TiVo boxes. Do miss the DVR function though.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That would make sense if they did integrate with their own DVR's, so of course the answer to your question, is NO...
I reiterate, avoid...

Thanks...I guess. But seriously, there was a time that I could recommend TiVo products but now, no. Just get a Roku ultra and hard wire it and get a few streaming services. Even the newest Tivo boxes are painfully slow with crappy streaming channels. And it looks like their new stuff doesn't even integrate with their dvrs.

Do people actually like the Fire products? Or are they just drinking more Amazon Kool-Aid and have never tried a Roku?
I'm currently using Chromecast with Google TV and I'm strongly considering switching back.
Roku has the best combo of stability, performance, and app availability (excepting their recent dispute with Peacock and HBO Max, which has sense been resolved).
Roku can be a nice platform but reminds me of Apple. You have no flexibility and cannot sideload apps. The Chromecast is awesome if you use if like a Firestick but if you only watch Netflix, Disney and HBO Max then stick with a Roku. If you criticize a Firestick you are uninformed of the extreme capabilities it allows. The ONLY problem with a Firestick is internal storage and it is easily expanded with external drives. I block all the Amazon processes in the background and have it tweaked for extreme performance. If you do a little research you can make a Firestick a dream machine. If you don't desire improved results stick with a canned offering like Roku. I would probably use Roku too if I had no desire for improved results.
What's wrong with the Dynalink box? I've been using mine since it was <$30 a few months ago. It does freeze once in a while (usually in a period on inactivity) but otherwise, it's been fine. The TIVO remote is much better though.

As the other guy said, nope. They had a streaming app in development around 2 years ago (for the firestick and roku) which allowed you to stream recordings from you DVRs to the sticks but they yanked it. I was like WTF and then came across this streaming stick shortly thereafter and then realized why they pulled the plug on the app - their streaming stick was supposed to be exactly for that so they wanted for you to buy their stick. Then at release we find out that it doesn't have their streaming DVR app at all. Don't know what the hell Tivo has been up to the last couple of years. I'm an OTA tivo bolt guy with lifetime, but once that dies I'll probably be looking at a different solution because them seem to not care about DVRs any longer. Just for example, for another mysterious reason they pulled their latest OTA DVR with 4 tuners from the market. Now you can only get the 2 tuner one which isn't nearly enough for me. And here's some more of their vaporware; they had an ATSC 3.0 tuner dongle (plugs into the rear usb port) that was supposed to be released but they pulled that too indefinitely. OTA broadcasts already starting switching over to that in my area. Would like to get 4k programming OTA but not a real issue... yet! The new ownership they have really sucks.

It does have a couple weird youtube bugs, but Tivo support says the are aware and working to correct the issues.
I really like that it auto detects power and volume IR codes for your TV via HDMI when you connect it. It has worked on every TV I've connected it to.
