They responded, "the stock we have start with 35"
So that means these are the Verizon version with a locked bootloader. For those that may not know, they can still be used on any carrier just fine. They are carrier unlocked. The bootloader however is locked. This means that you cannot install a custom ROM to keep updated when Google stops updating Android on this phone. Many people won't care about that, but people that are tech savvy and want to extend the useful life of this phone by installing newer versions of Android won't be able to.
EDIT: was informed later in thread that custom ROMs like CalyxOS cant be installed on Verizon variants of this phone (havent verified this but thanks to the user that called this out)

This is a slick price, but I cannot recommend this phone. I love Google's software in general, but the hardware on this is crap. I've seen so many defective USB ports and random display issues on test devices (which is not too abnormal, since these devices are under heavier load than normal). However, my personal phone had to be warrantied twice for two separate issues. One was motherboard-related and the other was when the phone just stopped charging entirely.
My experience with the Pixel 3 wasn't great but Google did replace it and kept extending the warranty 3 months when replaced. I began to doubt how thorough Ingram Micro tested their Pixel refurbs before they shipped them out. Ready to try it again. BTW, really love the portrait setting on the camera.

I bought used and have been using the phone for well over a year now.
Verdict: This is a very capable phone that is a much better option used at ~$160 than many new phones at double that price.
The bad
Screen brightness. Not bright enough for use in direct sunlight and the adaptive brightness typically leaves the screen a bit too bright in the dark (IMO). If you are an outdoorsy type that is on your phone a lot in the sun then definitely avoid the pixel 3/3xl
That is the only real drawback I have seen. Battery life is just ok, and like other phones degrades with use and age, but I don't typically have issues making it through the day unless i use it heavily. For times like those I carry a charger or battery backup.
The Pixel Android experience is fantastic. The hardware and/or QA are suspect. Now that the Samsung flagships function similar to the Pixels, it's hard to want to gamble on a Pixel again.
Some love them, some have a terrible experience.

Then it'll magically start working after 3-4 reboots, a power off, and maybe a safe mode boot. Totally random, nothing I can do to control it.
Software support ends in a few months. Get a Pixel 3A or something else.
I have owned the Pixel 1 XL, 2, 3 and 3XL - and the 3 and 3XL have been the worst of the bunch from a hardware perspective. I love pixel, but these two phones are making me consider an iPhone after 9 years on Google.
