Great TV, great price, thumbs up.

Obligatory consumer information:

Currently this TV does not do 4K120 (instead it does 3840x1080 and then upscales) and Sony is being deliberate unclear whether it ever will. So if that specific feature is important to you, caution.
Costco specs say 4 x HDMI 2.1 ports. In reality it only has two, and one of them is also eARC. So if you want to connect eARC audio, and an XBOX, and a PS5; you'll be a port short.
Only regret I have is not spending the extra $400 to get this instead of the 75". Best TV I've ever owned all across the board
Also this price at Best buy, but highly recommend you just spend the $60 on a Costco membership for the warranty.

Considering this TV for Ps5 and XSX gaming only, A bit discouraged about lack of 4K 120 support, anyone know if they will add it? Are the better options in this price range for gaming?

I bought this during Thanksgiving. It's a good size TV but buggy as hell. The LG OLED TV is about the same price for a 65 inch but the clarity on that is something else. All in all, a good compromise if you have the room for it.

Surprised they didn't match the previous $1969 price. We're getting close to model close-out season. Maybe you get one more shot at a final close-out deal, but it's a gamble on a very popular TV. If you want 85", the X900H replacement for 2021 (X90J) doesn't come in 85", so will be curious to see if Costco caries the X90J up to 75" and then the X92J 100". Or if they are going to carry the X95J. I would love to walk into the store and see the 100" X92J.

I'm loving my 85" X90CH, and FINALLY with the last firmware update a month or so ago my eARC is stable using Yamaha TSR-7850.

I got this tv for $2569 earlier this year at Costco. Recently, within 30 days from purchase, I got refunded a 100 bucks because it went down to 2469. It's now past the 30th day, however I'm wondering if they will do price adjustment again, or if I should just return this and re-buy? Can anyone provide some insight?
What I did was buy a new one at lower price just before 90-day window expired on my original purchase, then I returned the new one using the old order so I didn't have to mess with the hassle of returning an opened 85" TV and also wouldn't be without a TV for some time. I don't recommend that, because they do track serial #'s and it caused all kinds of issues and took 2 months to resolve with multiple calls to customer service. It did get resolved though and I pocketed the $500 difference.

Did Sony ever fixed the motion clarity issue? It keeps reverting back to being on even when you have it turned off.

Some questions, TIA.
Costco return - how does this work for the TV? Do they come pick it up?
Warranty - would they come repair or again, need to ship a massive TV in the mail?
Firmware - I see many people reporting bugs. Is this still an ongoing issue? If so I'll just avoid this TV. Thanks all! Eager to pull the trigger.

Yeah, the 85-inch is actually 71% larger in screen area than the 65-inch, so not that out of line, but the 75-inch is not priced well.
What kind of stand do you recommend? Sony used to make very nice stands for Trinitron and Wega series, I guess they stopped making those? I was hoping to find one that has mounting to secure the TV and something basic.

Does the Costco version have a 5 year warranty vs the normal 1 everywhere else?
5 year is from Sony. Costco sells a 5 year warranty that runs concurrent and I haven't found what the benefit is. Charged with Citi card and got 2 additional years, total 7 years. 2021 Sony warranty reverts to only 3 years. Get this 2020 model.

Costco website says 5 year warranty, bestbuy website says only 1 year warranty. Costco clearly the better place to buy
5 year is printed on the box and is from Sony. Check Sony web sight. Call or visit Best Buy and confirm.

Wow I would expect these to be a lot less considering new model is around the corner. But who knows. I saw some lg c9 65 inch TVs that were 1899.97 and the cx is 1950. Go figure. No logic this year
Seems prices go up each year while reviewers say quality and features go down each year. Apparently 2019 TVs were the best quality picture. Many reviews out there. Price depends what city or part of town you're in. Low volume areas will eventually have lower prices but not much. Lowest price is always at or before Black Friday. Price was $1969 and has never been there since.

I thought the same thing initially but the 75 works perfectly above my fireplace. Plus, if I need a bigger screen for friend /family viewings I'll connect my projector 👍

Got this at $1969 with 7 yr warranty after I returned the x850g. Amazing theater experience but to be honest, tons of issues. That being said, I'd still buy this one as it is an outstanding bang for your buck.
I have an 65 CX in the garage behind a 110" screen that displays a 4k projector, so I've had my fair share across the board. I choose to watch movies on this set even though my theater setup is really in the garage.
It is an outstanding set with my biggest complaint being the dropping out of the sound constantly, requiring a "reset" which is accomplished by long holding the power button. A minor annoyance but for sure irritating, especially for my better half. Wifi drops out on occasion as well, also requiring a reset.
There is a xbox series x and ps5 hooked up to this, along with a q70r atmos bar setup, it does not play well with the q70r via eARC and I've yet to find a suitable solution to have the q70r part of the setup (WAF) and keep both game consoles without having to swap the hdmi from Xbox to PS since one of the available 2.1 ports is taken over by the eARC to q70r.
It sounds pretentious but these issues do become frustrating when looking at the parts, but fade away when thinking of the whole package and realize that is the price you pay for being an early adopter of a new standard.
The remote is outstanding and works perfectly with an appletv 4k and the ps5, all with no issues so the wife appreciates the simplicity of it over the caavo and harmony setups we've used in the past.
We got 4% back on this set which was nice, but if you pull the trigger, be prepared for an absolutely horrible experience with the 3rd party delivery company. Unfortunately, it was supposed to be delivered 4 separate times, my wife and I had to set time aside each time to wait for a delivery that never showed despite being promised each time by the dispatch and supervisor that the delivery was going to show. The support number was VERY responsive though and quick to answer the phone.
Overall, I would buy it again, all things considered, but we are all different, so putting this out there for you to have another point of reference.

Both are true: The Costco/Warehouse version (X90CH) has a Sony 5 yr warranty, and the BB/Amazon/regular retail version (X900H) has a Sony 1 yr warranty. Please keep in mind, as I stated earlier in this thread, that neither of these warranties include in-home service, so you would have to pack up an 85" TV if the warranty is ever needed.

Mine hasn't been buggy at all. Even after side loading apps. Android is super fast just like my old roku. That was one thing I was worried about. No wireless internet problems and what I was more interested in is a great picture with no risk of burn in.
