This isn't much a deal considering you can get the single set (P-BDG-PKG1W) for $68.
It's not a bad deal--especially if math is your friend... $68 * 2 = $136. That option comes from a shady vendor with likely no warranty (if you care about such things). Real Amazon sells that item for $80 (price hidden [amazon.com]) so $80 *2 =$160 plus two bridges to sell. The $132 option comes with a single bridge to do with as you please. Sell the bridge like new on ebay if you wish.

Buying the combo on ebay should completely invalidate any warranty claim you may ever have. Luckily there's never been a Chinese knockoff on ebay or from Amazon vendors [lmgtfy.app]. Definitely a good idea for electrical devices hardwired into your home's electrical system on 24 hours per day whether you're home or not. Food for thought.

I'm not talking about just switches. If you look at the model number I was referring to, it comes with the hub. So, you're getting 2 hubs, 2 dimmers and 2 remotes for $136. And, I wasn't referring to buying on eBay. I bought that set from Amazon. Right now, it looks like it's the same $68 price but from two other vendors, still fulfilled by Amazon though.

BTW, regarding warranty, if you bought say a few dozen switches from both dealers and non-dealers, are you keeping track of each and every switch to show which one has valid proof of warranty if you need to make a claim on one? Not that one needs to with Lutron. I have yet to have a single Lutron switch/hub go bad in over 5 years, and I've installed probably close to 100 switches by now in many homes. On the other hand, with Leviton, I've had their smart switches only last 2-3 years on average. Will never use Leviton smart switches again. Either case, I've never had any switch from either brand go bad during the 1 year warranty period.

Only reason I don't endorse eBay route is warranty. I installed about 25-30 of these and did have issue with I think 2 of them. I wish I didn't order some from eBay for this very reason.
How do you know that those two that failed were from the lot you bought from eBay? With a couple dozen switches, any person would have a tough time remembering where a particular one was purchased from.

Because they ones I ordered were the on/off ones the ones requiring a neutral.

But now that I remember getting rid of the red led was a matter of improper wiring I think. We did eventually resolve it after putting the load manager part or so.

dimmers are trouble free and very easy installation cuz of no neutral.

Current (and long time) SmartThings user here. Can anyone speak to personal experience on how this compares?

I have been pretty frustrated lately with the increased delays in response time and have seen the Caseta system come up regularly as a solid competitor. I do have have about 20 z-wave devices, which I believe can't be used with the Caseta bridge. Wondering if it's that much better to warrant a replacement.

Beat in the game. Reliability, no dependence on your WiFi network. These communicate over zwave.

Also can add multiple homes/businesses

I believe limit is 75 devices on the hub due to update in last year.
For clarity, Caseta does NOT use zwave. Lutron uses their "Clear Connect" protocol which operates ~430MHz whereas zwave is ~900MHz

Of note: if you're in it for the switches and remotes only, eBay frequently has the combo for $40-50 each with free shipping. I tried to sell my hub last year and only managed to get $20 for it. May end up being cheaper via eBay.
Agreed. I did my whole house (30+ switches) and bought all on ebay. Saved me a fortune

I have smarthings and caseta. I have so many issues with z-wave things popping up, an update breaking something, etc. I haven't had to touch my caseta setup since I installed. Truly just works.

Yes, you'll get a red led if improperly wired, or of you have too low of load on switches. Lutrol sells a part specifically for this which fixed my similar issues!

Just to clarify this is two hard wired switches (to control two sets of lights) but the two wireless switches, are just remotes for the hardware ones? If I need to do 6 light switches to the house, I'm going to end up with a drawer filled of lutron remotes. 🤷🏻 ♂️

If the switches you're replacing are just single pole (on/off) or single pole dimmers, then yes. You'll have a box of remotes that are ebay ready. If any of your switches are 3-way then you would either keep the remote on your end-side table or mount it in the 3-way switch's junction box using one of these brackets:

The Lutron Casetas are probably the best smart dimmers on the market today in terms of reliability, compatibility, and not needing a neutral wire in the switch box. If you do not have a neutral, then there has to be a minimum load in the fixture. (It's 25 watts.) If you don't have that minimum load, then the switch will not work. In that case, you need to install the LUT-MLC, which you just wire into the fixture. The LUT-MLC will create resistance to bring the load up to the minimum. No matter what, use good bulbs that are really dimmable. I would recommend Phillips or Cree. I haven't had luck with Feit lights from Costco. They flicker and go in and out and all those problems went away when I switched to Phillips and Cree.
