PSA: For those in states where you're considering enrolling in the utility program to save money on the thermostat, make sure you carefully read the terms and conditions on those programs. For my state and local utility (and I assume other states and utility companies) the pricing model changes, in some cases drastically, by introducing different levels of peak pricing and sometimes even direct control over your thermostat. Whether it can save you money in the long-term is possible, but just be sure you fully understand what the program entails before jumping in with both feet.

Are you being sarcastic? That still seems like a pretty, freakin' damn good deal, to me...

(& I suppose national grid is the route I'll be going, since I'm also in NY & it's not working for me/my acct through PSE&G)

This is the everyday price for eversource in CT, if anyone is wondering. They will occasionally do promos.

Yes, I'm surprised more ppl aren't more wary of this. There are many stories of ppl having their heat/AC throttled during peak times by the energy company.

For example, this is from the T&C of PSE&G in NJ:
      INSPECTIONS
PSE&G reserves the right to inspect all rebated products to verify compliance with PSE&G Marketplace Program terms and conditions. This may include post-installation inspections or participant interviews. Upon reasonable notice by PSE&G, the Customer must allow access to the installed product for a period of four (4) years after receipt of the rebate from PSE&G.

PSE&G may participate in the PJM Capacity Market through the demand reductions achieved by the products installed as part of this Program. Customer acknowledges and agrees that, for purposes of participating in the PJM Capacity Market, PSE&G shall own the rights to all such demand reductions without cost or obligation to Customer. PSE&G's ownership of the Project's demand reductions does not affect Customer's ownership of the products nor the energy savings derived from the products.

Not listed but the Google Nest E had a full rebate for me in NJ through PSEG. Just under $12 after shipping and taxes.

FWIW, I have had multiple orders cancelled through PSEG marketplace for these rebate orders in the past. We will see if this sticks.

One other thing to consider is that when you sign it gives them the control and the right to adjust your use and temp several times per month based on "peak" use times.. and this past summer they altered mine several times and the house got way too hot for my liking so I had to use more to cool it back down.. Just check it out for yourself and be warned

No one ever WANTS to be in Florida.

I chose to move to Florida and it was the best decision I've ever made. You're clearly doing things wrong if you can't find happiness here

      Please note for Delaware:

The Delmarva offer is only for customers in Maryland and the Energize Delaware offer is currently free but with $10 shipping
